Reel Addiction Charters invites you to relax and have lots of fun catching fish in, and around, Newport, Rhode Island. Captain Chip Parker will take you near and off the coast to search for various species, and with all the grounds being rich in fish, you'll have a great chance to land a respectable catch.
Your trip will start on a 30' Stamas walkaround, a boat that accommodates 4 guests and runs on a twin 225 HP Yamaha engines. It's got comprehensive navigation technology that will take you to the fish quickly and its facilities include a toilet, shower, and beds. There's an ice-box to store your fish and drinks and a livewell to provide live bait. For any help you may need, just turn to the first mate, who does work for tips only!
The species you can catch include Striped Bass, Blue Fish, Tautog, Sea Bass, Scup, and more. You can catch them on light and heavy tackle in a great variety of ways including bottom and deep sea fishing, trolling, spinning, jigging, popping, and drift fishing. You can keep your catch if you like, kids are welcome to join the trip, and there can be NO SMOKING, of any kind on board.
The captain provides you with all the fishing gear, licenses, drinks, and he'll also clean and fillet your catch for free, on full day charters only. You just bring the food of your choice before you depart.

Captain Chip and Jay were fantastic. Even in less than ideal conditions, they were doing everything to put us onto fish. We had an incredible time catching a bunch of bluefish and then heading over to catch some seabass for dinner. They treated myself, my daughter, and her boyfriend with the utmost respect and made sure we had a great time. Even though the stripers eluded us today, a fun time was had by all. I highly recommend and would not hesitate to use them again.

The captain put us right on top of some fish numerous times resulting in taking home the catch.

So, first off let me first say that Chip had us out there for just about 6 hours; it was a scheduled 4 hour trip. So I decided to take my 10 year old son deep sea fishing. I simply googled “deep sea fishing RI” and a bunch of choices came up. Not knowing anyone of them from personal experience I went with reviews and FEEL. I chose Real Addiction Charters. And I hit the proverbial jackpot. All I can say is WOW!! Chip and his second mate were beyond phenomenal. This guy and the second mate knew their stuff and they provided my son and I with a memory that will live forever. Chip and his second mate were cordial, funny and right there to provide assistance when needed while allowing us as much autonomy as we could handle. And he books in a way where you don’t feel rushed. The fish weren’t biting at first, but that was of no concern to Chip. With his superior knowledge of the sea and amazing equipment (that was very interesting by the way) coupled with the fact he was willing to basically stay out there for AS LONG AS IT TOOK, anyone who charters with him is taking their best chance at a successful and amazingly memorable experience. We already booked another trip with him for next year!! The day we got back. By the way my son caught a sea bass that we kept and Chip flayed it right there on his boat. Hands down Chip is the man.

Captain Chip was fantastic and we had a wonderful time out on our charter. We lost count of the number of fish we caught, but we caught striped bass less than 28” and some over 34” so we didn’t get any keepers. We did keep 3 of the bluefish we caught and they were big and tough fighters. Captain Chip knows his way around Aquidneck Island and it was funny watching others follow him/us as we kept catching fish! My friend and his son from PA both commented many times on how this was the best fishing trip they had ever been on. All thanks to Captain Chip. He was fantastic with 12 year old Andrew. We bottom fished with eels, used bobbers, umbrellas, etc. Tried all types of poles and setups and were delighted with how many fish we got on the lines. Would highly recommend Reel Addiction Charters.
