The boat you'll be using for fishing is a restored 30' Cherokee 28 Fishermen offshore fishing boat. It's powered by two 260 HP Crusader engines and can comfortably take up to 6 anglers. It uses all the modern GPS, fishfinder, and radio technology for efficient navigation and has got a private toilet you can use. To make things even more comfortable, you'll also have a first mate at your disposal throughout your whole trip.
The species you can catch include the tasty Walleye and steelhead. Using both light and heavy tackle, you can catch them by trolling, spinning, and jigging. You'll be keeping all the fish you catch and you're free to bring your kids aboard as well and make it an even better stay in nature.
Guide Robert takes care of all the rods, reels, tackle, live bait, as well as lures you'll need for your trip. This means that you should only bring your fishing licenses and some snacks and drinks.

Captain Bob was excellent! Weather report had been iffy for days. Captain Bob kept in close contact and offered options, but always kept our group's needs, comfort and safety in mind. The morning of our charter was stormy. Captain Bob was flexible with start time and kept a close watch for opportunities to get out while our group enjoyed breakfast at a local dinner. Bob found an opportunity for us and warned us about how rough it might be. We jumped at the chance to get out anyway and Bob got us on fish right away. We would have limited out but we chose to return a little early (most of us had a hard time with the rough seas). All in all, Captain Bob listened to us, remained flexible, did his best to meet our expectations, watched out for our safety and got us on the fish! Couldn't ask for more. Will go out with him again!

He took the five of us out of Ashtabula for a day of walleye fishing, and from the start, he made sure we had a great experience. We wanted to start by casting, even though he advised us that trolling would put fish in the boat much faster. Instead of pushing us into his preferred method, he respected what we wanted to do and took us to several hot spots so we could try our luck. We managed to catch two walleye casting before deciding to switch over. Once we started trolling, the trip really took off. It wasn't just sitting back and watching rods—Captain Bob made it an interactive, hands-on experience. He taught us everything we needed to know, explained the techniques, and made sure everyone got involved. After about three hours of trolling, we had landed a total of 30 fish! Whether you're an experienced angler or someone who's never been on a charter before, Captain Bob has the knowledge, patience, and personality to make it an unforgettable trip. He's honest, accommodating, and works hard to make sure everyone has a great time on the water. Captain Bob is definitely the man for the job, and I wouldn't hesitate to book another trip with him. I would highly recommend a charter with Turner Loose Charters. The captian put us on fish right away he also taught us how trolling worked and let us help keeping poles out and netting our fish. Was so much fun being a part of what was going on. A lot better than sitting waiting for your turn to reel a fish in. He showed us how every thing worked and we all picked in. He was even patient with us when we had our line tangled. We look forward to fishing with them again

Our group was myself; my three boys 12, 11, and 9; and their grandfather. Captain Turner and Chad were great with the kids, had us reeling in fish nearly immediately and the action never stopped. Couldn’t ask for a better experience for the boys.
