Have you ever dreamed of reeling in a Billfish in the pearlescent waters of Mauritius, but you aren’t a die-hard angler with decades of fishing experience? Your dream is a reality with Billfish! Captain Billy Lamarque will put you on the most prestigious bite around, no matter your skill level!
The “Billfish” is a 38’ custom-built cruiser, powered by twin 225HP turbo Perkins Sabre engines. It has a very spacious fishing area, a very comfortable seating area, and is fully equipped for big game fishing. Outriggers, downriggers, and even a center rigger, it’s all set up for maximum Billfish hookups.
Capt. Billy and his professional first mate Jerome have learned fishing with their late grandfather and other well-known fishermen of the area. Come and join them for a wonderful experience and share in the thrill of hearing that reel screaming. They’ll provide you with all the equipment and the know-how to battle many pelagic predators. You can target fish like Dogtooth, Yellowfin, and Skipjack Tuna, as well as Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Barracuda, and various Sharks.
The main stars of the show are the Black, Blue, and Striped Marlin, and Sailfish. After fishing for Skipjack to use as live bait you’ll head out to the 9000’ deep water to go after these torpedo-sized monsters.
While you’re waiting for the bite you can enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the coastline of Mauritius, as Dolphins playfully breach the surface near the boat.

3/4 Day Trip
Billy and Jerome are Great. Highly recommend
A great day out. Billy has a huge amount of experience and is a very nice knowledgable captain. You could see all the hits on his depth charts and knew exactly where to fish. Jerome was constantly monitoring the lines. Changing up lures when needed. With a good mix of large and small lures out to maximise our chances. 5-7 lines out at any point! They really put a lot of effort into getting me a fish! We had 2 skipjack on towards the end. So got the rush of the reel going off and hauling the strong tuna’s in. Billy and Jerome have over 20+ years experience. More like 30+ years and I would be fishing with them again at my next possible opportunity when back in Mauritius. 2 very nice & knowledgeable guys to fish with! Highly recommend to anyone!

We had the chance to spend 2 full days fishing on the Billfish. Its was a famous choice!!! I did some big game around the world but Billy and Jerome belong to the benchmark. We always had the feeling to be in good hands of a very kind and professional crew - thanks to both for that incredible experience and the time we could spend with you. We can only recommend to everyone coming to Mauritius looking for big game ... book with Billy and Jerome. We for sure will do if we come back. Fish caught - Skipjack, Mahe Mahe, Makko, Sailfish Additional highlight seeing sperm whales jumping - never forget about that picture

First Blue Marlin
Thanks to the skill of Jarome I caught my first Blue Marlin on my first trip fishing for Marlin. Jerome and Ding did a fantastic job looking after me and my wife. I hope to be booking again in October. The Billfish is a comfortable boat to fish and they have all the tackle you need I am looking forward to fishing again with the great crew on the Billfish.
