Fishing Business Sportfishing will guide you throughout Cape Cod and the South Coast of Massachusetts and put you on top of the hottest bite. This family-friendly company is run and operated by two brothers, Captains Matt and Ben Maher, who were both born with a rod and reel in their hands.
They keep the boat on a trailer, which gives them a better chance of catching fish. Your potential target will consist of anything from Striped Bass, Bluefish, and Scup to Bluefin Tuna, Sharks, Pollock, Haddock, Cod, and Tautog – some of the finest and most exciting species around.
Captain Matt and Ben run a 25-foot Contender Classic called the ‘Fishy Business,’ which is powered by a brand new **hidden content** hp Mercury outboard. This fast boat, which cruises at 30 knots, can get you to the fishing grounds quickly and safely. She is also a seaworthy vessel with all the necessary electronics, gear, and equipment needed for a successful day on the water.
On your day out, you will be using the industry’s best tackle, which will give you the opportunity to make an outstanding catch possible. Light tackle fishing is the preferred method to get you the best fight out of a fish as possible. Your own “lucky rod” is also welcome on board, but not required.

Once in a lifetime experience with our family! Dave was a great captain, took us straight to the fish, and fish were on in only a few minutes of being out there! Stripped bass and blue fish galore. We will definitely be back!
Caught so many fish between 30-42 inches. Lost track. We were on fish for the while 4 hour trip. Started with catching live poges and switched to top water and then trolling. Our captain was putting us on top of the fish all we had to do was bring them in the boat. Can't wait till next time.

Had a great time with Matt and Peter with Fishy Business Charters. Caught striped Bass, black Seabass and Scup. First big fish in made my heart beat race for 15-20 minutes. Exciting. Their boat is on a trailer so our meeting spot accommodated us by being 20 minutes away. Worth the trip.

- Rods, reels & tackle
- Live bait (Live bait fishing is something that is included with the overall price of the trip if used. Our captains use a variety of live baits, lures, and plugs to ensure our clients have the best opportunities to catch fish on their trip.)
- Lures
- Catch cleaning & filleting (Filleting fish is included in the overall price for the trip however keep in mind that this can be time consuming and consider a tip for doing so. The filleting will occur on the boat at the end of the trip. )
- First mate (Fishy Business Sportfishing normally doesn't run with a first mate but our captains work hard for their tips and ensuring our clients have a great experience on the water. A 20% tip is generally the normal tip amount on board any charter vessel.)
- Fishing license (Guests are covered by our charter fishing license so no fishing license is required for our clients. )

Growing up, Captain Matt and Captain Ben spent his summers on the water. Sport- and commercial fishing has been part of his family for over half a century. Matt was first introduced to the art of fishing by his grandfather and father, who would take him and his brother out fishing every chance they could wether it was casting from the dock in front of their grandparent's house or on a boat. Both brothers spent the past 15 years commercial and charter fishing, which has given them great knowledge of the waters of the Cape and South Coast. From April to October, they can be found fishing all over the Massachusetts coastline.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

Transfer to/from departure site may be available and included in price depending on your location and distance from the dock.

When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 25% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
