Waymaker Charters offers you sunset cruises and fishing trips on the beautiful Albemarle Sound. It's got everything you need to catch a variety of prized species and have fun on the water. Whether you're looking to fish, crab, search for dolphins, or just enjoy a day out on the water, Waymaker Charters got you covered! Their pontoon will provide a comfortable trip for your party and all the trips are family-friendly and great for the kids. Come aboard and enjoy a true fishing adventure on the Outer Banks of North Carolina!
You'll fish with Captain Ryan from a 22' Sweetwater pontoon boat that has room for up to 6 people. It's powered by a 115 HP Suzuki engine, uses a fishfinder system for navigation, and features an ice-box to store your fish and drinks.
You and the captain will use spinning on light tackle to attract your prey. The species you'll target are Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Flounder, Redfish, and Black Drum. You can choose whether you'll keep your catch and take it home or just release it back into the water.
Waymaker Charters will provide you with all the fishing gear, licenses, as well as fish cleaning and filleting. The gear includes rods, reels, tackle, live bait, as well as lures. All you need to bring is your favorite food and drinks.

Captain Ryan was a whole vibe. Not only was he knowledgeable, he was funny. 3 out of 4 caught stingrays…1 person in the group had 2 fish but the line broke both times and the fish got away. We would definitely book this fishing trip again in the future.

Second time booking with Waymaker Charters (Gratitude) and Captain Ryan. Ryan is extremely fun to go out and fish with, and very knowledgeable about the area, fishing, and hilarious to be out on the water with! The whole family had a great time, even the Mrs who has no interest in fishing :) We caught 40+ croakers for live bait to start the morning off, which was a lot of fun, and then reeled at least a half-dozen keeper trouts that made for a great lunch when we got home. Great time for all and highly recommended! Thank you again, hope to be back with you next year.

We have a very fun and enjoyable trip, started by catching our bait for the day quickly then off to another spot to catch sea trout. Every caught multiple fish and we actually reached out limit with time left in the trip which was great. We fished for some other types of fish for the rest of the time and had an enjoyable ride through the sound. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. The boat was comfortable and has plenty of space for our 5 guests. The kids had a great time and would recommend this charter to others looking for a fun trip to catch fish.

Went out on the pontoon with Ryan. We were able to catch a big bluefish and a smaller one. also hooked up with stingrays as well! Would Definitely recommend, had a great time.

I took my wife and four kids out for a 2 hour trip the captain talked to us about what we wanted to do and I told him we would like to catch some fish. We made a quick run out and grabbed some bait that he set all four of my kids up with a pool and then off to where there was some bigger fish and we started fishing we did catch 6 fish In a. Very short time. The caption was fun and worked with everyone and my kids had a blast. We will be going back to do it again. Thank you
