On The Fly Charters 

I was in constant contact with Captain Chris leading up to our trip, and he was always quick to respond and keep us updated on weather and plans. On the day of our trip he got us out on the water quick and we had fish on the boat before we could even get all the lines out! I got to watch all my brothers and dad catch monster salmon, and a once in a lifetime giant brown trout! I will definitely be booking with Captain Chris again! Great memories made!

What an incredible day. Captian Chris and Kevin worked hard to make sure we had the best time on the lake! It was my son’s first time and we weren’t sure how he’d do on the water. Captain Chris worked to make it as comfortable as he could while still finding the fish and that he did. We caught Steele heads, Coho, Kings, and even found a Pink Salmon! Such an incredible day and one we will be talking about for a very very long time! My son loved fishing before we went out, but how I can guarantee we have an angler for life. Thank you Captain Chris & Kevin!!! We will be back!

Captain Chris and his first mate Dan were very friendly and encouraged us to ask questions. My dad and I have been deep water fishing in Mexico and San Diego bit never on the lake! The boat and equipment are top notch! It was a blast to learn how to fish the lake and see how it's done! Captain Chris kept in constant communication with me since I booked and made sure we had everything we needed even before we got to the boat so that we would have an amazing time! I could tell that him and Dan loved what they did and were very passionate and enjoyed sharing that with us. It was really move than just catching fish. It felt like a tailored experience just for us. It was personal and unique which made it something I will remember forever. What I thought would just be somthing to cross off the bucket list, has turned into something we will enjoy every year when my dad comes up to visit me here in Michigan. Michigan Lake is beautiful! The experience with On the Fly was as first class as one could ask for. Captain Chris and First mate Dan were very down to earth professionals and the amount of equipment and tackle blew my mind! Very great day on the water and they take the time to explain and visit with you about the lake and history of it along with what all species of fish are available to catch! We caught a fair amount of fish and the sunset was worth the whole adventure as well! They get 100 stars in my book and I will be rebooking for a long weekend of fishing for now I want to seek the sunset rising over beautiful Lake Michigan! Captain Chris and First Mate Tyler are great guides- they made everything easy from start to finish, put our group onto plenty of King Salmon, were good company on the water, and all in all our group had a great time. We’ll be back!

Captain Chris was very knowledgeable and helpful. We had great conversation about the lake, fishing, and the area in between catching fish. We had a wonderful family outing and enjoyed our time on the water.

Had a great time on the water with Capt. Chris & his mate Brooks. The morning of, captain informed us that the bite was not looking hot on the morning charter but regardless of the not so great bite we really enjoyed the entire charter. Gear was top notch, fishing knowledge was top notch. We had 12 lines out at multiple points at every depth so everything was being done to catch fish. All in all great time. We ended up catching a king, a steelhead and a couple juveniles

The captain and first mate showed their professionalism immediately by setting up the rods and lures without having to talk with each other. Soon after we were into landing fish. We went 18 for 26 that afternoon. With several mature salmon. The experience was so good we immediately booked our next trip.

My party has taken many charters here in the area and we all came to the consensus that On the Fly was our favorite. The crew was so enjoyable — you don’t feel like “this is their job” and even Chris said it, they just enjoy doing this. We felt like we were simply out on an evening cruise with close friends, which made the experience awesome. We caught some HUGE salmon and a trout. Overall great experience and will be a returning customer.
