Intentional Fishing is a catered fishing experience based on your group's needs. Both AM and PM trips are available Gulf Fishing.
All gear and licenses are provided. All you need to bring are some snacks and drinks. Climb aboard for a fun-filled day on the water!
Target a variety of aggressive saltwater fish including:
Snappers, Mackerel, Triggerfish, Grouper, Tuna, Sharks, and more!
Types of fishing may include:
Bottom Fishing, Trolling, Live Bait, Cut Bait, Chumming, Heavy Tackle, Light Tackle, Artificial Lures, Jigging, and Drifting.
Captain Alex Hensley is the owner and operator. He ensures every part of your experience is fun and comfortable. Using quality equipment and gear, you can only expect a world-class fishing experience!
The vessel is a 25-foot Skeeter Center Console. This boat is extremely versatile and is just as capable in the bay as it is offshore in the Gulf! She's powered by an ultra-reliable 300 HP Yamaha Four Stroke outboard and can reach speeds of 50 Knots!
Equipment on the boat includes:
Fiberglass T-Top, Yamaha 300HP motor, 112 lb thrust Minn Kota i-Pilot trolling motor, Simrad 12' Evo 3 GPS/Fishfinder, dual 10' Power-Pole shallow water anchors, custom Aqua Traction foam decking.
In the Gulf of America, venture to open waters for an ACTION-PACKED rod bending experience! Expect to pull on a variety of species! you will use some cut bait, artificial lures, and live bait depending on the target fish.
Your SAFETY is the highest priority for Capt. Alex and each guest will receive a safety briefing before leaving the dock.
Safety gear includes Life Vests, First-Aid Kit, VHF Radio, Fire Extinguisher, all required Coast Guard equipment, and an EPIRB (emergency GPS beacon)

6 Hour Trip on July 23, 2024 • 2 adultsMy son and I went on a 6 hour trip with Captain Alex today and had an absolute blast. We got our limit on Red Snapper, 3 Vermillion Snappers, 3 Mahi Mahi and a bunch of non keepers. I had a sand bar shark for a while but lost him just before getting him to the boat. Also lost many snapper to really big Groupers. Captain Alex is great. Even though we have done this kind of fishing before, my son and I learned all kinds of new fishing techniques. Thanks Alex! We highly recommend Intentional Fishing Charters. We will be back to make more family memories.

8 Hour Trip June Snapper Promo on June 12, 2024 • 4 adults • 2 childrenCan’t say enough about Capt. Alex and Intentional Fishing. Probably the best trip that we have ever been on!! He put us on fish the entire time and did everything possible to make it enjoyable for the whole family, including fishing with our 5yr old so that way we (parents) could keep our lines in the water to get those massive Red Snapper and Grouper that we caught all day. We will definitely be back to Florida soon, and Intentional Fishing will be our #1 choice of fishing charters here in the Panhandle.

The fishing was a little slow in the first spot or two we tried and Alex decided to take us elsewhere rather than to fool around with little fish stealing our bait. When he found the spot we were in the fish for the rest of the day and had an absolute blast. Alex went above and beyond to be sure that me and my wife and my daughter had the Time of our lives. It was more than just a fishing trip he pointed out different fish and dolphins to us as well. We even got to experience an encounter with a shark trying to steal our fish from the line as we really did in which was an amazing experience. Me and my family are already considering another trip back to Fort Walton Beach based around going fishing with Alex. He is definitely our fishing guide when we are in the area from this point on we would never consider going somewhere else when you make a friend like him. Thanks again Alex from the Ayres family.

If there is a word above EXCELLENT it should be applied to Intentional Fishing My Daughter an Adult Sons had the Time of their Life It was an experience that will be done over an over with future Fishing Charters with Captain Alex and Intentional Fishing Charters. This Fishing trip was above and beyond what was expected. We had a Great time a good catch...Definitely the Go to Fishing Charter even on any weather day Captain Alex and Intentional Fishing Find the Fish and very good at it. 6 Hour Trip – Deep Sea Fishing on October 16, 2021My family and I had an amazing time with Captain Alex Hensley at Intentional Fishing! Even in strong wind and choppy water, Captain Alex helped us score great catches for the day. We were pulling in Bonito left and right all morning! Captain Alex was incredibly knowledgeable, teaching us all about the fish we were catching and even explaining best ways to prepare the fish to cook later. Captain Alex was also great with my middle school aged nephew! I can't recommend Intentional Fishing enough. Perfect for families, friends or just anyone who wants to have a great, successful day of fishing out on the water. It was an amazing day and an experience my family will remember :)

There were many others than what were in the pics. Gear was great. Boat was nice and clean. Alex was very knowledgeable, patient and worked hard to keep everyone fishing. If you’re looking for a great trip out, I would highly recommend taking a trip with Capt. Alex 🤙🏽

Captain Alex is very patient, consciences and professional. His equipment is top notch and his boat is less than a year old ran perfect, fast and safe. We did a 4hr tour and had plenty of time to fish. Alex was very knowledgeable about technique and fish type. We caught our fill of all types of fish. Had a blast will use Intentional Fishing and Captain Alex again.

We booked with Captain Alex 24 hours before the fishing date and he responded instantaneously and assured us that we wouldn’t have to worry about fishing time wasted on catching bait as he already had bait ready! Alex is a Fort Walton Beach native and a USCG licensed 25 Ton Master Captain. Born and raised here, he stared fishing at 3 years old with his dad and brother. Alex and his wife Jessica live in Fort Walton Beach and enjoy days on the water as much as possible. Over the years of fishing around Destin, Alex has developed an expertise of the area. From every corner of the Bay, to far offshore, he knows these waters like the back of his hand. Alex is also a proficent Trombone player, and you might catch him playing with the Downbeat Jazz Orchestra around town! His greatest passion is teaching and sharing fishing with others.
