Spearit Charters – Rhode Island 

Captain Dave & Matt provided a fantastic day for us all. He went out of his way to get to a pkace where he knew the fish were biting because he knew a bunch of areas were a bit slow. My 3 grandsons caught 15 fish between them. They are calling it the best day ever and cant stop talking about it! Dave and Matt wotked eithbthem the while time and stayed engaged while the adults got to fish also. They kids caught more than we did… and Dave tsught me a fee new thing on too of it all! I highly recommend booking a ttop eith them!!

Captain Dave and First Hand Matt are simply the best. My 6 year old son and I just had the absolute best time. The day was non-stop action. From catching our own live bait (mackerel) 3 and 4 at a time. To the real fun of hooking 40 pound stripers we had “fish on” all the time. in addition both Matt and Dave did everything they could to help my son fish like a champ. He was literally bring in fish as big as he was. Thank you to them for being the highlight of our July 4 weekend.

My buddies and I have been out with Spearit four times over the past two years and the term that comes to mind every time is “world class” and this trip was the best of them all. I can’t even beging to describe the insanity. Five people hooked up to 40+ inch stripers at the same time on multilple drifts. Light tackle, drag screaming. The fishing experience of a lifetime. Captain Dave and Matt are excellent! Clearly knowledgeable about fishing, but also friendly and conversational. Went out with just my high school son, and he caught the most fish. As a boat we maxed out on Black Seabass and caught some good sized Fluke and scup. We were sent home with bags of filleted fish. On the way to the car he said it was the best charter he’s ever been on. Great morning!!

What a fun afternoon. Dave was an excellent captain, and first mate Matt was truly one of a kind! We’ve been on a number or fishing charters, and this was one of the best—professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the local waters. We caught 7 stripers, including a couple of slot fish. My 10-year-old had an absolute blast and our next fishing trip will definitely be with Spearit Charters!

First I would like to say the crew and the captain were wonderful. We could not ask for a more perfect day of fishing.The weather was beautiful in the ocean was calm. This was my first time with my daughter , fishing , and we had the best time ever together. It Was such a great time even though we caught few fish. I'm already looking into booking our next trip.Because it was fantastic.

Best trip ever. We caught a huge variety of fish from mackerel up to shark! The crew made the trip though. Knowledgeable and patient, they were right there when we needed a little help. They provided just the right amount of involvement on our trip. Excellent conversations between fishing spots topped off the trip.

The captain is incredibly knowledgeable and talented! He will put you on huge fish no matter what. This captain and crew pay close attention to details and conditions. Very professional. Any charter with Spearit is something you look forward to all year! Thank you for a personal best!!

We brought our 2 boys, 13 and 10 and another 13 year old and his mom. We started catching fish as soon as we dropped our lines in the water. The captain and Matt were very attentive. i would definitely book again and hope the seas are a little calmer next time

Even though it was a little ‘sporty’ out there weather wise, my 2 sons and their wives caught the biggest fish of their lives. Captain Dave is a seasoned, competent, engaging fisherman who guided us expertly. Loved the light tackle approach and his boat. Highly recommend.
