The boat you’ll be using is a 30’ Butt Cat fish and ski boat that can accommodate up to 8 guests. It’s powered by twin 140 HP Suzuki engines and uses Lowrance GPS, a Furuno fishfinder, as well as a radio in order to provide quick and safe movement on the water. It features an ice-box you can use to store the fish you catch.
On your trip, you can expect to chase Black Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Musselcracker, Geelbek, Great Barracuda, King Mackerel, and Cod. Your skipper uses light and heavy tackle to bottom fish, deep sea fish, troll, spin, as well as drift fish. You’re allowed to keep the fish you catch and you can also bring kids on your trip.
The things you should bring include snacks, drinks, and fishing licenses. The skipper will take care of the fishing tackle, live bait, and lures.

My trip with Hookup Fishing Charters was fantastic! We had to reschedule from the original date I booked due to weather conditions but they were extremely flexible and accommodating to my schedule (as I was visiting from the U.S. on business). It was my first time deep sea fishing (though I've been fishing in ponds and lakes my whole life) and I caught my biggest fish yet! I also greatly enjoyed getting to know the captain and hearing about other fishing adventures with Hookup Fishing Charters while we fished. We even saw several whales and lots of dolphins on our way out to sea! If I'm ever back in Durban, first thing on the agenda will be another trip with Hookup Fishing Charters!

A very unique experience ! And a so friendly crew
Weather conditions didn't allow to go to deep sea. We did a night session in the harbor and it was really amazing to fish not far from big cargoes, with all the lights of the city, and the great activity around. The crew was really nice, preparing a meat barbecue on board . Extremely friendly atmosphere, I recommande at 100% and will definitely come back for a deep sea session

Captain gave our family a great day on the water!!! Our 3 kids, ages 6, 7 and 10 had so much fun! The captain was super accommodating and had great experience dealing with kids. He was respectful and considerate!!! He went above and beyond to give our kids a great sea fishing experience!!! A great job and definitely will come back.
