You're likely to fish for Amberjack, Javelin Grunter, Geelbek (Cape Salmon), Queenfish, Bluefish, Crayfish, and more, depending on when you go. During the trip you might be spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites to stay fueled throughout your trip!
Capt. Rowan runs a 21' Butt Cat center console that holds up to 8 passengers. It has outriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's always wise to bring sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Had an awesome trip friendly crew and alot of socializing 🤣 aswell as a catch of mixed varieties including grunters salmon etc my all time favourite aswell square tail kob 💪🫡
Captain Rowan was superb with myself and my kids. youngest being a 11 year old girl. Ibwould recommend him as a skipper any time.

I am very disappointed, will never use them again. Not recommended
Hi Mr De Klerk, very disappointed in your review. We travelled across the entire backline with several other boats and unfortunately the water was not pemitting good fishing. We then proceeded to parts of the harbour channel allowing you to atleast get some bites going where you landed a nice Mullet and also a lovely Kingfish. I am very sorry you feel that we were responsible for the fish not biting on the backline. We would like to indulge you in a free harbour trip due to your experience.
