Southern Angler Fishing Charters is located in Grand Isle, Louisiana and is one of the best fishing charters in the state. Offering both inshore as well as offshore fishing (within 50 miles), you’re bound to have a great experience. Come join Captain Kevin Falgout for an action-packed trip that you won’t forget!
The boat you’ll use is a 22’ Sea Hunt center console that accommodates up to 4 guests. It runs on a 150 HP Yamaha engine and uses Lowrance Elite FS 9” GPS and fishfinder, as well as a VHF radio. The boat also uses a wireless trolling motor so you can approach the fish more discreetly. There’s a livewell for keeping live bait and an ice-box so you can store the fish you catch.
Inshore, you can target Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, and other species. When fishing offshore, expect to encounter Snapper, Cobia, and more, all within 50 miles off the coast. Using light and heavy tackle, you can bottom fish, deep sea fish, spin, as well as jig. You’re welcome to bring kids on your trip.
Captain Kevin will take care of the rods, reels, tackle, live bait, and lures. If you choose to keep the fish you caught, he’ll clean it and bag it for you so it’s ready for cooking when you return home. Bring snacks, drinks, and fishing licenses for the trip.

Excellent Family Adventure
Brought my father, father-in-law, and 6 yo on trip. Captain Kevin was very pleasant throughout the entire trip and very responsive to all the needs of the group ( baiting hooks, unsnagging lines, moving to different areas, ect). We caught several Reds, Bull Reds, Trout, and Black Drum. Also caught a Stingray, which was cool! Definitely would recommend this guiding service to folks of all ages. Super satisfied with the service provided!

Grand Slam - Grand Isle Back Bay
Great fishing trip with Captain Kevin in the back bay of Grand Isle. We slammed the trout both days (two back-to-back 6 hour trips), but only one day was easy. Captain Kevin had to show off his skills the second day, but without a doubt, managed to find the fish. While we were mainly targeting Trout since those were primarily in season this time of year, we caught a flounder, a sheeps head, and a beautiful bull red, which unfortunately we couldn't keep because of the new LA bag regs. Great weekend with my brother and best friend from highschool. Highly recommend Captain Kevin and his Southern Anglers crew. Will be back.

Our guide Austin was excellent and did a great job keeping the eight year old in our group entertained. Even though the fishing was a little slow we were able to get a nice haul of fish. I highly recommend Austin and look forward to fishing with him again.

Great day with Captain Kevin.
My two long time friends and myself booked an inshore half day trip. Meet Kevin at the Marina at 6:30 am and headed out. We started out with some Specks and moved around following the diving birds. We moved several times just as we needed to. Caught a few at each spot and moved on to the next. Our last stop we hammered some larger specks and several large Black Drum with one nice Red. Great day with my buddies and Captain Kevin. Equipment was ready to go and in good shape. We will book again with Captain Kevin. Tight lines 🎣
