Off The Hook Charters invites you and your family fishing on the beautiful Gulf Coast waters of Gulf Shores, Alabama. This excursion is operated by Captain Hunter. Captain Hunter has been competing in fishing tournaments along the coast since a very young age and has always enjoyed spending every second he could on the water and behind the wheel of a boat. Chartering is a life long passion for him. Hunter is great with children and families, and looks forward to getting your group out on the water.
We will take you out on his 24' Kenner center console boat, originally built in 2000, and fully restored in 2021. This boat is powered by a 200HP Suzuki engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 36 knots. There is enough room on the boat for up to 4 people fishing without feeling too crowded.
The vessel is fully equipped with all the best safety and navigational features such as a Garmin GPS and fishfinder. The boat contains all the finest quality fishing gear and tackle that is user-friendly. There are also live and artificial baits and a fishing license.
Our number one goal is to provide a safe and fun fishing experience for your whole group. Hunter will share his knowledge with you and help you reel in as many fish as possible. We work very hard to take our customers to the best spots while providing an opportunity to catch fish and make great memories.
The captain will take you fishing for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Pompano, Red Snapper, Cobia, King and Spanish Mackerel, and many more species depending on fish migratory patterns and what may be in season at the time of your trip.
Your fishing grounds can be the shallow marshy back bay flats, the crystal clear beaches, and the nearby offshore reefs based on seasons and migratory fish patterns. Please note that a 15-25% tip is customary. Thank you!

We had an incredible trip of a lifetime with Hunter and Off the Hook Charters! Taking kids out on a fishing boat can sometimes be stressful, but Captain Hunter was so patient and made the entire day an absolute breeze. He was great at explaining things and made sure everyone in our family got the thrill of reeling in a fish! We lucked out on having an beautiful sunny afternoon and had an amazing haul, bringing in a dozen sheepshead and catching some absolute giant redfish. We caught more fish than all the boats around us combined. After all the action, the ride back was just as magical. We had time to just relax, hang out, and watch dolphins swimming right by the boat. If you are looking for a family-friendly, action-packed, and completely stress-free charter in Gulf Shores, Captain Hunter is your guy!
Had a great time with Captain Hunter, took my granddaughter and I out for Snapper. We found them and had a great catch. Captain Hunter was fantastic in teaching my 11 year old granddaughter how to fish and bring fish up. Great patience and calm, and determination to get her a Big Fish. I would recommend Him and Off the Hook Charters any time.
I would highly recommend Captain Hunter to any small group or couple. He was great , and seemed to be most determined to put us on dinner.He made this trip a memory that my wife and myself will never forget! The speckled trout were fantastic! Thank you Hunter!
Captain Hunter put us on the fish. We caught Sharks, AmberJack, Spanish and of course the Red Snapper which we had our limit in one spot with nice fish. Recommend a 10 of 10 and will definitely book with him next tim we're here.
We was on them from the start, captain hunter was beyond excellent he had us on a 3 man limit at the first stop and by the second we have caught so many fish we was only worried about the big ones. was a 10/10 from me.
