Off The Hook Charters invites you and your family on a fishing trip on the beautiful Gulf Coast waters of Gulf Shores, Alabama. This charter is operated by Captain Perry who is a third-generation angler and a native fisherman to the area. He knows the best spots and is thrilled to share the beauty of this area and his fishing secrets with you!
Capt. Perry will take you out on his 24’ Kenner center console boat, originally built in 1999, and restored in 2017. This boat is powered by a 250 HP Suzuki engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 36 knots. There is enough room on the boat for up to 4 people fishing without feeling too crowded.
The vessel is fully equipped with all the best safety and navigational features such as a Garmin GPS and fishfinder, which are used to locate the schooling fish. The boat contains all the finest quality fishing gear and tackle that is user-friendly. There is also live and artificial bait and a fishing license.
The crew’s number one goal is to provide a safe and fun fishing experience for your whole group. It will share its knowledge with you and help you reel in as many fish as possible. The crew works hard to take its customers to the best spots while providing an opportunity to catch fish and have an adventure of a lifetime.
The captain will take you fishing for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Pompano, Red Snapper, Cobia, King and Spanish Mackerel, and many more species, all depending on the fish migratory patterns and what is in season.
Your fishing grounds can be the shallow marshy back bay flats, the crystal clear beaches, and the nearby offshore reefs based on seasons and weather patterns. We will work hard to put you on the fish and make some great memories!

Highlight of our vacation
My wife and 3 children (17,14,6) wanted to do this with me. After reading many reviews I chose to go with Off The Hook Charters. We are all SO glad I did. Captain Perry was awesome! He is very knowledgeable, personable, and worked his butt off to keep all of us catching fish. We brought in a haul! King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, and Bonito filled the cooler. My wife and kids have wanted to go back again everyday since we went. I would highly recommend going with Off The Hook Charters and Captain Perry if possible. We will be going with them every time we make it down here. Thank you Captain Perry for an unforgettable day!

Great experience!
Captain Perry and future Captain Brooks were excellent! Fun, personable, knowledgeable, and put us on fish from the first cast. They helped our first time fishers gain confidence quickly and were very attentive throughout. Caught our limit early and they used the remainder to try to fulfill the desire several of our party had to see some dolphins. I would 100% book with them again and recommend them to anyone interested.

3 Hour Trip – Inshore/Nearshore AM
This charter was, "Off the Hook" (couldn't resist)
Great near shore trip. Fish were not biting early apparently for anyone based on the calls Captain Perry was getting. Captain Perry was persistent and impatient in a good way. If we weren't getting nibbles in known hot spots we moved on. Had a few catches in one spot but were undersized. Finally as our time was ending Captain Perry found a hot spot and we caught our limit in good sized red fish in less than 30 minutes. Captain Perry really did his best to get us a variety of keepers. Made a great family meal. Next time we'll use Off the Hook again.

Had a great time with Capitan Perry.
My son and I had a great time with Capitan Perry. He guided us on a 4hr trip and put us on fish the whole time. Captain Perry was very knowledgable about the area and where to find each type of fish. We caught some nice red fish and spotted sea trout. He was always baiting hooks and prepping equipment to keep us ready for the next fish. Could not ask for a nicer guide. Conversation was easy and you felt like you had know him for years. Highly recommend Captain Perry and will for sure book with him again next time we come back down!

Captain Perry Understood the Assignment!
Communication is #1 and accurate communication is the icing on then cake with me and they communicated with us from the time we booked the trip to the time we left. This was our 30th wedding anniversary and my wife just wanted to go fish and most of all, CATCH SOME FISH!!! What an awesome wife, might I add!!! Captain Perry was up for the challenge since we booked a 4 hr in shore/ bay trip starting at 12 pm, the heat of the day trip. We got right on the reds and the fun began from there. It got a little slow for a bit at about 2 hrs in but that’s fishing! By the end of the trip we had plenty of fish for several meals. Captain Perry’s experience and knowledge of the bay and the years of fishing paid off. Thanks for a memorable and great experience! My wife and I will definitely book again and hopefully bring the rest of the family too!
