Captain Javier, our boat and all the fishing gear was impeccable. Javier made sure the boat stayed cleaned and clutter free. Unfortunately, we had to spend an hour plus trying to catch bait fish before we could actually start our trip. I feel there should have been another alternative, for what if we hadn’t caught any bait, then what? After pulling up enough bait fish, we still only caught 1 tarpon and 1 lady fish the entire time we were out on our excursion. The 1 tarpon we caught, when trying to take photo’s, Xavier accidentally dropped the fish back into the water, missing our photo op. He was trying to clean the fish off before the pics, which was a kind gesture, but it simply just got away from him, it happens, we realize this and we really liked Xavier. We felt he was good at his job, he was friendly, hands on and very helpful, we just didn’t have a good fishing experience in respect to actually catching fish, but again, it happens.
