Go Tarpon Puerto Rico are conveniently located at San Juan's Cangrejos Yacht Club, and are one of the top eco-tour and fishing charter companies in Puerto Rico. Go Tarpon specialize in light tackle, fly fishing, bottom fishing, jigging and popping, and offer half day, three-quarter day, and full day trips. They mostly fish for Tarpon, but you may also encounter Snook, Jack Crevalle, Snapper, Mackerel, Barracuda and more.
Their 22ft Pathfinder is a stable and spacious boat, and is powered by a 150HP Yamaha 4 Stroke engine. It can accommodate up to 4 anglers, is equipped with GPS, VHF radio, fishfinder and sonar, and features a live bait tank.
Trip price includes the use of Shimano and Penn fishing gear, fly fishing equipment, lures and live bait, fishing licence, full insurance, and drinks. The crew offer cleaning and filleting of your catch, while catch and release is also allowed. Go Tarpon's adventures are suitable for the whole family, and they welcome all skill levels. I picked Capt. Rafa because his video seemed genuine and he seemed experinced. Both turned out to be true. Fishing was a little slow for all the boats, but my son and I caught fish. And the captain took us to a spot passed over by others and had a trick up his sleeve that yielded a big one in the last few minutes of our 6 hour trip. Experience counts! Thaks for a fun day! Plus he had non-diet coke in his cooler.

Did the four hour 7am fishing trip with Rafa. He was very personable and is a stand-up guy. Been fishing this lagoon his whole life and knows the waters well. He's a real pro and expert! He worked tirelessly to catch tarpon — including chumming. We had many many bites but lost a lot of fish. Fortunately, we landed two and had a great time overall. If you're interested in tarpon fishing near San Juan or Isla Verde, Rafa is the Captain to hire. Would do this trip again in a heartbeat!

Captain Rafa does not disappoint. He is very knowledgeable and his lowkey humor added a good vibe on the boat. Fishing started off quickly, hooked up on a few tarpon including a 4 footer. Snook as well. Fun trip highly recommend Captain Rafa. We will be going back out with him in the future.

Great trip! The captain was hardworking, friendly, and very hospitable. He kept us moving for the fish and made sure everyone had a good time. The refreshments on board were a nice touch, in the heat. Highly recommend this charter if you're looking for a fun and well-run fishing experience.

Slow day, threw tons of different baits. Saw tons on tarpon breaching the surface. Didnt see any action on the other boats. Rafael did a great job putting us right in the middle of the fish though. only managed one spanish mackerel near shore. had a great time nonetheless!!! Will return to hunt down that big mamma!!
