I booked this charter for my family of 5. We love offshore fishing and fish together often. Captain and crew were excellent. They worked very hard managing the spreads and put us on fish. The charter was well appointed with food and drinks. The vessel and tackle were premium and well maintained. The charter vessels are docked at the Playa Flamingo Marina which has very nice shopping and restaurants. We had our fish cooked there at a marina restaurant at the end of the charter. We will book again when we can.

From start to finish, our experience with Salty Adventure was exceptional. Booking was a breeze, and the crew made us feel welcome right from the start. I took my wife on a 3/4 day charter, and it turned out to be one of the best trips we’ve had! The crew was outstanding—friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. I mentioned to the captain that I was hoping to catch a sailfish, and within an hour of fishing, we had an incredible near 9-foot sailfish on the line! We also caught several smaller fish, which added to the excitement.
When the water got a little rough and my wife started feeling seasick, the crew went above and beyond to help her feel better. They quickly provided an ice pack and offered support to ensure her comfort. After the charter, Debbie was super helpful in making sure we had everything we needed and checking in on us, which was a nice touch.
Overall, this trip was a fantastic adventure, and I can’t recommend Salty Adventure enough! Their dedication to customer care and passion for what they do truly made our day memorable.

After taking time to find the right outfit with high recommendations, I chose Salty Adventure.  From the outset, Todd reached out to answer all my questions in a very timely manner.  He even adjusted the start time to accommodate our travel 3+ hours away.  On the day of fishing he was in communication.  After introducing us to the friendly crew, we headed out. 

Once we arrived at the location, we started fishing for bonito and quickly caught one and used as live bait.  The crew masterfully set up the rigging for marlin.  After slow trolling for a short while we got the hit of a lifetime!  We got a blue marlin on line.  The crew quickly got things setup for my 15yr old son to have the fight of his life.  The captain and crew maneuvered the boat and directed him what to do.  After reeling in for a while and close to the boat sadly the line (100lb) snapped.  It was an exhilarating moment seeing my son vs marlin battle that we all would remember.

We tried longer attempting for another marlin, but eventually transitioned to fishing for grouper.  Caught quite a few and called it the day due to being out for some time and a few of our sea legs were done.

Our trip was enhanced by the fun and very responsive crew, seeing all the sea life (flying fish, dolphin pods, sea turtles), and enjoyable mild weather.  There were many drinks, snacks, and lunch provided that made the trip very convenient.

Will definitely look up Salty Adventure again when planning to be back in CR!

Can’t say enough good things about our experience with this team, from communicating ahead of the trip and accommodating some dietary needs for my daughter, to the captain and crew we had for the day. We did a full day trip and I was so glad we did, because we had a really slow start where barely anything was biting for the first few hours. But as we entered the afternoon, it seemed like something was hitting nearly every time we turned around! At one point we had three sailfish on lines all at once, so we definitely considered ourselves lucky anglers that day! The crew did a great job all around and I think we got pretty much every one of about ten sailfish to the boat. And the bonus—the one mahi we caught provided enough meat for a nice meal for our family of four at our hotel that night. Great job and many thanks to the Salty Adventures/Wishing I Was Fishing Adventures team!

We had a great trip with Myself , Daughter and Son. The Day started of nice with decent weather and Sea conditions. We caught two nice Sailfish and a few Bonita within the first few hours. The Sea conditions then changed for the worst, but the Captain and Crew handled it professionally and kept fishing even though they could have stopped due to the conditions. We caught a couple more Bonita and made it safely back to the Marina without issue. I would highly recommend this Crew and Boat to both experienced and beginner Fisherman. They know their craft.
