Sich's Guide Service runs fishing charters on Cayuga Lake in a 2021 starcraft fish master 196. One of the most stable and spacious platform in aluminum boats and the latest in technology gives us the edge while fishing in comfort. We can charter a maximinum of 4 customers plus the captain comfortably. We are one of fhe few boats on cayuga lake that has the comfortability to have the choice to either jig or troll with up to 4 customers. We target multispeies and not just lake trout, large catches of rainbow trout with some atlantic salmon and brown trout are common especially mid may-august. Our spot lock minn kota allows us to anchor over a coordinate to jig or maintain a course to make a troll. Fishing on cayuga lake is our specialty and we charter full time and year round on several amazing NY fisheries. It is my job day in, day out to put you on fish, come out and fish with us for a relaxing day on cayuga lake.
Trips are 6-hour trips, mainly fishing for lake trout, rainbow trout, brown trout, and atlantic salmon. Deciding what method will work best that day and the preference of the crew can often dictate our catch. Make sure the captian knows what it is you want to catch!
Everything is included in your charter, just show up with the proper clothing for the day along with some drinks and snacks in a small bag or cooler. You also need a valid NYS fishing license.
You can keep anything you catch, as long as it's legal to do so.

The captain was great! Had us on fish immediately, and was very knowledgeable and personable. We had a great time and caught a bunch of fish throughout the trip. The captain fileted all our catch with perfection. Would 100% book another trip!
There was some last-minute problems with the original boat so Captain Dawson met me bright and early. He promised we would catch fish and catch fish we did. Dawson knows his stuff and was patient and knowledgeable and prepared. I'd recommend him to anyone.

Dawson was great. His focus was Rainbow and he was on point.
Capt Joe asked a lot of questions before the trip on what we’d like to do so knew what to expect. We had to move around the lake a bit due to some bad weather and changes to fish patterns. We eventually found the fish - as promised! Captain Joe definitely knows how to find the fish. Especially good for experienced fisherman!
Captain Joe was professional, competent, and friendly. He communicated well ahead of time and most importantly, he got us on the fish. I would definitely use him again.
