Pick your day, join the captain aboard, and spend a thrilling time chasing fish with your loved ones.
Your adventure will take place on a 20' Nitro performance fishing boat that can safely take up to 3 anglers. This boat is powered by a 300 HP Mercury engine that can reach a maximum cruising speed of 47 knots and comes rigged with modern GPS, a fishfinder, and VHF radio electronics to ensure quick and safe movement. There's also an ice-box for storing fish and a livewell for keeping live bait.
On your trip, you'll be fishing for Muskellunge, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, and Walleye, depending on what's biting. The techniques you can expect to use include trolling, spinning, and jigging on light tackle. On special trips chasing Whitefish in winter, Capt. Randy also offers ice fishing. You choose whether you'll keep your catch or not, just keep in mind that trophy fish has to be released.
The captain will take care of all the fishing rods, reels, tackle, live bait, and lures, so you can fully focus on fishing. Before coming on board, just make sure you have your fishing licenses with you, as well as some snacks and drinks to stay refreshed.

Captain Randy is knowledgeable, professional and a lot of fun to fish with. I’d recommend him without hesitation for expernuced anglers and new comers to fishing. i hope to fish with him again next time i am in Door County.

It was My Beat friends sons Birthday and we decided to take him on a fishing trip. After reading reviews on Big Country Charters we decided to give him a go. And the reviews were spot on, He was very cautious with weather conditions and decided it would ok to go out and give it a try. We were very hyped on that decision and 15 min into the trip we landed a 27 inch walleye which was proceeded by a 26 1/2 one and several others. He was very talkative with great stories exchanged by all of us. I’ve been on other charters before and by- far he tipped them all. Great Job Captain
It was my pleasure to take the 3 of you out! What a great group to have on the boat and the laughs are still active on the boat!
1. Easy to communicate with. 2. Boat and tackle was in perfect shape, all poles were rigged up well, with no issues. 3. Caught the fish we were hoping to catch - three 20+ lb king (chinook) salmon. Also caught a coho and some steelhead. 4. Randy's first mate Jackson did a great job helping us land fish and answering questions about the fish - hatchery vs wild, life cycle. 5. Offered to clean the catch, freeze it, and ship it home for us - very generous! 6. Great storyteller, personable, and a blast to go fishing with. Don't hesitate!
Fishing that weekend was slow, but Randy did everything possible to put us on fish. We started out casting in a spot that had prefished the night before with success and then trolled the rest of the trip. He even extended the length of the charter. I plan on going out with again next year.

Captain Randy is a retired Police Detective from Colorado. He began fishing Walleye tournaments in 2015 and decided to retire in Wisconsin to chase large trophy Walleye in his backyard. He's been fishing for over 40 years and hopes to share one of the best places in the world to go fishing with you.
