Based out of Topsail Beach, South End Adventures is your ticket to a memorable time on the Atlantic Ocean

Captain Taylor Horrell will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. He specializes in bottom fishing, trolling, big game fishing, jigging, and spinning – all to get you on that bite. This involves 5 to 10 hour trips, fishing for Spanish Mackerel, Seabass, Grouper, King Mackerel, Bonito, and Amberjack, depending on your chosen trip and the season.

Your boat for the day will be a 31’ JC offshore sportfishing vessel that fits up to 6 anglers at any one time. The boat comes with a toilet, ice box, and fighting chair, so you know you’re covered for the day. When it comes to rods, reels, and terminal tackle, everything you need is included in the price, too.

There’s need to worry about fishing licenses, either, as they’ll be provided and handled by the charter. Capt. Taylor is here to help you with anything you need, and a first mate will be on hand during the trip and they’ll even clean and fillet your catch after your trip! Please note that a tip for a job well done is much appreciated.

Captain Taylor, and his first mate Drew, gave us a great experience. They are both very friendly and great with kids, They were very knowledgeable and were true “ masters of their craft”. Drew always was maintaining the poles and taking our fish off while talking to us and telling us about what he was doing and why he was doing it. Captain Taylor was driving and finding all the fish. We ended up with a total of 54 fish which they cleaned and packaged for us. Best fishing charter I’ve been on. I’ll be calling them next time we are on the island. Thanks again Captain Taylor and Drew! See you next year!

Taylor and Drew are amazing! The knowledge they both have and how freely they are willing to share that knowledge and teach is awesome! These guys are the real deal! Local’s that know the ocean and the marshes like the back of their hands! They know ever fish and what you need to do to pull in the big ones! The boat even has a bathroom and not 1 but 2 fish fighting chairs! And let me tell you when you’re fighting a big Amber Jack (aka the donkey of the see) the fighting chair’s makes a world of difference! I feel like I have made life long friends and will only use them from now on for my fishing trips!

Filled the freezer!!!!!!

When booking the fishing trip Taylor was very nice and communicated great throughout. The day of the trip we arrived at 6am with three kids ranging from 5-10 years old. Taylor and his first mate were amazing with the children and made us all feel at home on the boat. They let us do as much as we felt comfortable doing! Our 5 year old wasn’t really into fishing but Taylor was talking to her and letting her stand and watch him steer. The older boys 8 and 10 were able to do all the reeling and hand-line pulling them the rest of the way on the boat, they had a blast!! At times all three reels had Bonita on them!! We caught 37 fish total!! 10/10 best charter ever!! Thanks for an amazing family fishing trip!!!

Great Kids Fishing Adventure

My 2 grandchildren had a great time fishing during the 6 to 10 a.m. session. They caught a good number of Spanish Mackerel and Blues. Captain Taylor and Mate Drew provided excellent help and taught the kids a lot about fishing on the ocean. We took the fish home with us and made excellent fish tacos for dinner. I highly recommend South End Adventures for your fishing adventures.

Amazing trip

We had an amazing time. We have three boys ranging from 6 to 12 that went on the trip and the first mate Drew was great teaching them how to fish. Captain Taylor and Drew are a fantastic crew, personable and wonderful with kids. Highly recommend and we plan on booking with them next year.
