Based out of Cooper Landing, Five Dogs Fishing is owned and operated by Adam and Danette Snyder. They offer memorable trips along one of the finest fisheries in Alaska – the Kenai River.
Your guide is an expert at navigating these waters, who specializes in drift boat trips along the Upper Kenai, employing a variety of techniques to put you on that bite. He offers 4 to 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, Salmon, Whitefish, and Arctic Char, depending on the season and conditions on the day.
The boat you'll be fishing from is a 20 foot drift boat that can fit a maximum of 5 anglers. The rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price but you'll need to obtain your Alaska fishing licenses prior to the trip.
We are devoted to sustainable fishing and keeping the Kenai River teeming with fish. You'll be able to keep Sockeye and Coho Salmon within limits, however, most other fish such as Trout, Dolly Varden, and Char, will be released back into the water.
Kids are allowed to join in on the adventure, however, the minimum age for Salmon fishing is 11. Hop on board with Five Dogs Fishing and enjoy some of the most exhilarating fishing Alaska has on offer.

Great time! Caught trout & loved the river! Jim
So glad you enjoyed the trip!
Had a great day was told it was going be slow but still got on a good number of fish I think 10 or 12 total all dolly's and Rainbows (what we wanted). Jordan was extremely patient even with our less than stellar casting he still put us in good positions to catch fish. Overall can't recommend enough
So thankful that we had Dallen. My dad is slow going and my uncle is a cranky know it all and Dallen was super patient and kind. He was knowledgeable and safe. We had an amazing time even though I can't cast to save my life🤓
