Absolut Fishing Charters is located in Manteo, North Carolina and offers to take you on a trip full of fun and excitement. Captain Jed is an Outer Banks native and a seasoned professional mariner. Join him aboard the Absolut for some backcountry fishing. He will use all his experience and skills to make your day the best possible!
Your adventure starts on roomy 25' Southern Cross center console that can safely take up to 5 anglers. The boat runs on a 300 HP Suzuki engine and uses GPS and fishfinder navigation electronics. It also comes with a wireless trolling motor and livewell to give you the edge over all the fish you'll be targeting.
We will be targeting Speckled Trout, Bluefish, Flounder, Redfish, and Cobia, depending on the season and conditions.
The captain provides all other rods, reels, and tackle, as well as live bait and lures. He'll even supply you with drinks and cover everyone on board for fishing licenses. Don't forget a cooler to take your catch home.

Captain Spencer took me and my two sons out for red drum. It was our first time fishing salt water and he was so patient and thoughtful in teaching my boys what to do. Despite less than ideal red drum fishing conditions, we caught a 34-inch red drum and a few skates. It was a really fun experience, and Captain Spencer is so personable and kind. The boat is clean and well-stocked. Highly recommend.

Captain Spencer was great! We hit a few spots and caught our first Red Drum about 30 minutes into the trip. We even had 2 fish on at the same time and hooked a couple of bluefish too. Everyone in our group ended up catching fish. I would definitely recommend an afternoon/evening trip. The fish were biting at the end of the day and we had a beautiful sunset to close out the trip as we returned to the inlet. We'll definitely be booking with Absolut again in the future!

The weather didn’t play in our favor unfortunatley… But boat captain Spencer was game to still take us! We fought the weather for the first part of our trip but luckily it cleared up later. Spencer was knowledgable, personable, and fun! We all had a good time lots of laughs and caught some fish too! All his gear was in great shape and top of the line. Boat is super clean and in great shape!I am already trying to decide if I should book one more outting with him before we leave.

we had a grrat half day with captn Spencer. He was awesome, 3 of us caught red drum over 42 inches within 20 minutes of our trip, and caught another just over keeper size, at the end of the trip we went outside of the inlet and caught some spanish mackerel to cook for dinner. It was a great day!

Our fishing charter was hands down the highlight of our vacation. Captain Spence was professional, friendly, and worked hard from the moment we left the dock to make sure everyone had a great experience. He put us on fish quickly, kept the lines baited, and shared plenty of knowledge about the area and the fish we were targeting. The equipment was top-notch, the boat was clean and comfortable, and it was clear he wanted me and my 3 boys to succeed.

Captain Jed Dixon is a native of Manteo and he grew up fishing the backwaters of the Roanoke, Croatan, and Pamlico sounds. After high school, Capt. Jed went to the US Merchant Marine Academy where he majored in Marine Transportation and obtained a 1600-ton Oceans Master's license and has been a professional mariner for over 20 years. Capt. Jed's experience and knowledge serve him well and he looks forward to guiding you on your next fishing adventure.
