We fished with Captain Jason Snead aboard the Nancy Cay on June 26, and had an excellent experience from start to finish. We started the morning drifting and catching speckled trout. Each of us hooked several, and the bites stayed steady thanks to Jason keeping us right on the fish. If the season had been open (it starts July 1), we’d have easily filled the cooler with our limit. Wanting something to take home, Captain Jason switched things up and brought us out to target bluefish. We landed enough to enjoy a fresh fried fish taco lunch later that day! Cleaning at the marina was quick and affordable - less than $10 for the whole catch. Captain Jason is relaxed, knowledgeable, and clearly enjoys life on the water. His custom-built Carolina skiff was perfect for our group of four - spacious enough to fish comfortably without getting lines crossed. We’ve done many inshore trips in the OBX, and this one stands out. We’ll definitely be booking with Captain Jason again!

Took my son, daughter and her friend out for a half day trip. Started off searching for reds followed by trout fishing. We all caught a handful of nice size trout. Weather came in and ran us off the water. Capt Jason offered to go back out after it passed. Dropped the girls off and my son and I went back out. We found a great class of red fish and ended the day with some epic OBX action. All top water sight fishing and as many as you wanted. My son left smiling from ear to ear. The next day my wife and the ladies went out on a clamming trip. They had all great things to say to of the trip. In the end, if you want a great, affordable captain then Jason is the right guy for you.

Went out by myself and said i wanted to catch redfish. Captain put me on 8 in the first spot before we moved on to target larger fish. In the second spot i got 3 more reds two of them were huge one was just larger than the first 8. Excellent time would recommend to anyone who wants to catch fish.

We went out with Jason on the boat and he was very selfless and did a great job of bringing us to the right spots to locate the bait fish to catch speckled trout. I went with my seven-year-old son, wife, and father-in-law and we had an outstanding time. We caught around 12 great size trout on a day that was unusually hot without a lot of breeze. He helped us grind it out and made the day a huge success.

The day started slowly on the sound where we missed the trout fishing, but Captain Jason was very quick at changing spots and we found great fishing spot of blue fish on the sea shore. We continue there always looking for the best spot , good advices and Quick turn around of équipement when broken.
