Speechless Sportfishing 

Had a great time with Capt. Edwards!! Awesome captain and host! This man did his best to put us on the fish the entire day and never stopped hunting them down. Was able to snatch a few in the boat-including my first fish trolling! Even in some rougher seas the ride was still enjoyable for all aboard the boat! Mate was great as well! For my first outing in the OBX and first big game trolling experience I couldn't have asked for a better trip! Thanks Capt. Edwards, Mrs. Brandi, and first mate Steve for an awesome fun filled day and such great memories made!

the trip was great. 12 hour offshore. boat and equipment was in great condition. first mate worked his butt off all day. Captain found fish and made sure to mark them and keep catching more. i would recommend this trip for ages 10 and up, the tuna are pretty strong and can be hard to reel in. we filled the box on board with mahi, skip jacks, and yellowfin.

Fantastic all around experience with the Speechless team! Personal record 88 inch Blue Fin was the capstone! Knowledgeable, professional, spotless boat are the hallmarks of the Speechless team. Just don't ask Captain Ron to drink bottled water. Thanks for taking uu to your secret spot. Highly recommend!

Let me start by saying that we have never done anything like this before. Captain Ron and his mate Steve kept us on the fish all day. If you want an amazing fishing trip this the boat for you. They made the trip memorable and we will for sure be going again.

My husband and father-in-law went on a full-day deep sea fishing trip during our trip to the Outer Banks and had an unforgettable time! They caught yellowfin tuna, blackfin tuna, mahi, and even a sailfish. Captain Ron and First Mate Steve were outstanding! Knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely fun to spend the day with. The whole experience was smooth, exciting, and absolutely worth it. Highly recommend this crew for anyone looking to reel in great catches and even better memories!

My son and I had the good fortune to fish for a full day with Ron and Trent on Speechless. These two know their sport. Speechless is spotless and incredibly comfortable. Ron put us on the fish immediately and Trent made it happen for us in a flurry of action right away. We went 35 miles out and hooked into black fin tuna. If you're thinking about a fishing trip in these waters go out with Captain Ron. You won’ be disappointed. He’s a great boat captain, an awesome fisherman, and just an overall good dude. Do yourself a favor and go fishing with Ron and Trent. We will be back as often as we can.

This was our first time fishing offshore in North Carolina. Im an avid fisherman with over 40 years experience and have caught most pelagic species from the waters of mexico to Kona , HI, to include Blue Marlin. The Speechless crew are truly professionals in every aspect of the game. First off, an immaculate rig with cutting edge electronics aboard will place ones mind at ease when fishing with your loved ones and hunting trophy fish! The auto trim tabs made for a fast, smooth and impressive ride over 35 mi offshore. This ultimately means more time for fishing-lures/bait in the water! The tackle was immaculate and precise, top notch shimano reels and custom rods were key in our success. Captain Ron and First Mate Hunter worked seamlessly in removing extra lines during hook-up and ensuring a high success rate for landing fish. Also, if you've had Captains asleep at the helm in the past, not here buddy....Captain Ron spotted a drift line of weeds that led to a phenomenal and frantic 1 hr limit of Mahi!!! In closing, I would highly recommend Speechless sportfising from beginner to the avid trophy hunter. I have found my crew guys and will continue to bring my family every year! This is definitely the easiest 5 star review to give in EVERY aspect that can be categorized for an offshore trip! If you've watched their YouTube channel (Salt Water Fishing University) then you know the boat is magnificent and that the captain is an expert. Now, after being on the boat, I can say that although the videos are great, they don't truly show how special this boat and crew are. The captain is approachable and eager to share his knowledge and experiences. On the way back in, my teenage daughter asked all types of questions while they exchanged fish stories and fish pictures. In addition to being a great person to be around, he understood the current conditions and trends to make sure we caught fish. On a day that was a bit slow for the entire fleet (listening to the radio) we got a handful of mahi, a barracuda, wahoo, a 84" blue Marlin and two sailfish! An epic dream day to say the least! To that, Trent (mate) was awesome! He was relentless in cleaning/changing/checking the baits/boat, answering questions, and making sure the guests were squared away. However, what puts Trent above and beyond is his positivity, patience and encouragement. He took every opportunity to teach and coach (there were a couple in the party that this was their first time off shore) in a manner that was uplifting and friendly. The boat, although named "speechless", speaks for itself. A wide open layout for everyone in the party to be a part of the action. Plenty of shade and even AC if anyone needs to cool off! The captain and mate have a special relationship that can only develop through time with one another; they seemingly know what the other is thinking and acts accordingly. Although this was a long winded review, there were several times on the trip that I completely understood why the boat is named "Speechless". As I stood on the deck watching my daughter crank and catch her biggest fish, I was left without words and just happy to have and share that moment. I know there are no guarantees in fishing, and even if we didn't have the success we did, I would have taken the time to write a similar review and would have stepped off that boat happy as I am today and ready to go back out! In a business that is heavily dependent on "production/results" the crew doesnt get tunnel vision and forget the human component. Thank you gentlemen for a great day! -bill z

Speechless is a great boat with a great crew. Ron is an awesome captain, one of the best I have ever met on my charter journeys. He will put you on the fish and have a great time doing it. The Speechless is a boat well taken care of and clean from top to bottom, it will almost leave you speechless.. I know i was impressed. The ride is comfortable and smooth. The first mate Trent will help you out and tell you everything you need to know or want to know. He helps with getting your fish in the boat and does a good job taking care of the lines. He also cleans the fish up for you at the end of the day. I will be back this summer again and i highly recommend this boat and Captain Ron.
