Salty Angler Fishing Charters
Pick a date and join Salty Angler Fishing Charters for a fun-packed day on the water. With Captain Michael Whitesides, you can fish inshore and nearshore grounds and reefs in search of various fine species that dwell in South Carolina’s waters. The captain will meet you in Mount Pleasant and help you have a productive and relaxing trip in lovely nature.
Your journey will begin on a 26’ Avenger boat that can seat up to 6 guests. It runs on a 250 HP Suzuki engine with modern GPS and fishfinder systems for safe and efficient navigation. There’s a portable toilet on board, and it also features an ice-box, livewell, and wireless trolling motor.
Chase Spotted Seatrout, Sheepshead, Redfish, and Black Drum. Reel them in using light tackle, bottom fishing, and jigging. Feel free to take home the fish you catch and enjoy lovely meals with your family or friends.
The captain will provide all the fishing tackle, live bait, and lures. The captain can clean your catch for free. And as his license covers all the guests, you only need to bring some snacks and drinks. Kids are welcome to come aboard!
While at Sea – During offshore fishing, if anyone in your group wishes to return to shore for reasons unrelated to the charter company, that's ok. Your comfort and enjoyment are important to us. However, if sea conditions are safe and fishing can continue, the full balance of the trip will be expected to be paid.
Equipment Damage – Please be aware that the captain may charge for any damages/loss to the boat, fishing equipment, or property owned by Salty Angler Fishing Charters during your trip. The replacement value will be determined by the owner and charged to the card on file.
The captain is not liable for any injury or fatality caused by any member of the fishing party/group/guests, whether directly or indirectly.
Boat Maintenance – If we need to cancel a trip due to boat maintenance, we're more than happy to reschedule for another day or provide a full refund.

3/4 Day Trip – Nearshore
Amazing day on the water.
I booked with Captain Mike at Salty Angler for my husband and son’s joint birthday. All six of us were able to go the 6 hour trip. The price was great, fishing was excellent and we came home with many pounds to eat! Captain Mike has the “secret sauce” to make your trip memorable. (other fishers were a little jealous of our many catches!) He was great with our kiddos, and made our first ocean fishing trip a great one. We will absolutley be booking our next trip with him.

The BEST fishing day EVER
My husband and I, with our two kids, ages seven and nine, joined Captain Mike for an amazing 4 hour fishing adventure! Captain Mike is amazing. He’s a great fisherman, he’s amazing with kids and he was just fun to be around. We had such a wonderful day and caught so many fish. He is an expert at what he does and he makes it look effortless. He didn’t just come in and take over. He gave us great tips and techniques for fishing and catching fish. My kids were giddy with all the fish catching. It was fish after fish after fish. We can’t wait to come back and meet up with him again. He truly made the last day of our spring break extremely memorable. He is also just a wonderful person and a joy to be around. We felt safe and well prepared for the day out on the water. We highly recommend this charter. For adults and children alike!

Great fishing trip
Capt. Mike was very personable & catered to our needs. We left the dock a few minutes early & after a short boat ride we were into fish within 5 minutes. Started out catching some smaller reds, but by the end we had boated several larger ones that we had to throw back. Also caught flounder & sheephead. Went straight to a restaurant where they cooked an excellent meal. Will definitely book with him again.

We had an outstanding morning with Captain Mike - smooth booking, easy to find, beautiful boat for our 4! Captain Mike was first class in every way - answered every question we had, helped us with everything from baiting hooks to improved techniques, and provided the right advice at the perfect time! Unforgettable Day on the Water with Captain Mike – Highly Recommend!
Had an awesome day out on the water with Captain Mike! From start to finish, he made the trip easy, fun, and memorable. We caught a 26-inch flounder, a bunch of red drum, a black drum, and even a trout—nonstop action! Mike was incredibly helpful, knew all the right spots, and was just a genuinely cool guy to spend the day with. He even cleaned all our fish at the end, which was a huge bonus. If you’re looking for a great fishing charter, Captain Mike is your guy. Highly recommend!
