Pick a date and join Salty Angler Fishing Charters for a fun-packed day on the water. With Captain Michael Whitesides, you can fish inshore and nearshore grounds and reefs in search of various fine species that dwell in South Carolina's waters. The captain will meet you in Mount Pleasant and help you have a productive and relaxing trip in lovely nature.
Your journey will begin on a 24' Pathfinder center console that can seat up to 6 guests. It runs on a 300 HP Suzuki engine with modern GPS and fishfinder systems for safe and efficient navigation. It features an ice-box, livewell, and wireless trolling motor.
Chase Spotted Seatrout, Sheepshead, Redfish, and Black Drum. Reel them in using light tackle, bottom fishing, and jigging. Feel free to take home the fish you catch and enjoy lovely meals with your family or friends.
The captain will provide all the fishing tackle, live bait, and lures. The captain can clean your catch for free. And as his license covers all the guests, you only need to bring some snacks and drinks. Kids are welcome to come aboard!
While at Sea – During offshore fishing, if anyone in your group wishes to return to shore for reasons unrelated to the charter company, that's ok. Your comfort and enjoyment are important to us. However, if sea conditions are safe and fishing can continue, the full balance of the trip will be expected to be paid.
Equipment Damage – Please be aware that the captain may charge for any damages/loss to the boat, fishing equipment, or property owned by Salty Angler Fishing Charters during your trip. The replacement value will be determined by the owner and charged to the card on file.
The captain is not liable for any injury or fatality caused by any member of the fishing party/group/guests, whether directly or indirectly.
Boat Maintenance – If we need to cancel a trip due to boat maintenance, we're more than happy to reschedule for another day or provide a full refund.

After many inshore trips, captain Mike was the best overall experience i ever had. His communication pre trip, detailed instructions and guidance made the trip flawless. once on the boat his skills in navigating to the fishing area were smooth and easy. once we hit the fishing grounds captain Mike had bait in the water and a hookup within 5 minutes. we had onstant action with sharks and large rays firvtge comolete three hours. Some captains have egos and dont like to talk. captain Mike was super diwn to earth and talked about all things throughout the trip. dont pass up a trip with Captain Mike! Matt and Eric New Jersey

If you're looking for an unforgettable day on the water, book a trip with Captain Mike. This was hands down one of the best charter fishing trips I've been on in years. I booked this trip with my fiancée and her father, who had very little fishing experience. Captain Mike was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and made sure he was comfortable and successful from the moment we started. Watching him catch fish and gain confidence throughout the day was just as rewarding as catching them ourselves. The fishing was outstanding. We got on fish early, then made a move that paid off in a big way. We landed four impressive bull reds and even hooked another giant that came unbuttoned right at the boat. That's fishing—but it only added to the excitement of an already incredible day. Captain Mike's professionalism, local knowledge, and ability to put us on fish made this a trip we'll be talking about for a long time. Thank you for an amazing experience and memories we'll never forget. We can't wait to come back and fish with you again. Highly recommend!

Captain Mike was very knowledgeable and made sure we caught some fish. We had to move a couple of times but once we found the spot, the fish began to hit and we caught 4 big Redfish and a toad fish. My daughter and I loved the trip and would recommend Captain Mike. We also got pulled over by the Coast Guard for a random safety check which of course Captain Mike had everything in order but still something I have never experienced so an extra bonus!!!!!

Captain Mike was great! He is kind, fun, knowledgeable, easy going, and catches fish. He was terrific with the entire family. We caught 10 different species, and multiple large reds, plus a few keeper size fish for fine dining later. Definitely Recommend!

Christmas 2025 and Capt. Whitesides ensured we were OVERLOADED with memories. Capt. Whitesides exceeded all my expectations. We needed trips for a variety of ages and skills, so that is exactly what we got. On the fish almost immediately, we had singles and doubles on Reds followed by nonstop sheepshead at a second spot. The boat is spacious and had a very dry ride, the kids were super comfortable and wow these modern outboards are quiet. I cant imagine booking with anyone else for our next trip and see why so many folks are repeats with Captain. 100% Recommend!
