Based out of Point Pleasant, Way Overboard Sportfishing is your ticket to a memorable time on the water.

Come on aboard with Capt. Christopher, whose main priority is to get you on some fish. Expect to use techniques like bottom fishing, trolling, jigging, popping, and spinning, based on the species you’re targeting. Speaking of which, you have the option of 4 to 18-hour trips, where you’ll be fishing for the likes of Flounder, Bass, Bluefish, Seabass, Tuna, and Shark, depending on the specific season and the day’s weather.

Your fishing adventure starts on a 33’ Regulator boat that can safely take up to 6 anglers. This boat features a toilet and an ice box.

The price of your trip includes all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle you’ll need for a productive day on the water. Please make sure to buy a valid fishing license ahead of time.

You’re welcome to keep all legal species caught during the trip.

Here to help you with anything you need, the first mate will be on hand during the trip. Leaving a tip for a job well done is much appreciated.

    We will be targeting Thresher Sharks and other species based on NMFS allowable regulations. We will be using heavy tackle, live and fresh bait as well as chum. This is your opportunity to get out and catch a trophy fish. We will typically leave the dock around 5 or 6 am and be back by early afternoon. We prefer no children on these trips - please reach out with any questions.

    This will be a 12-hour day of fishing for Tuna and other species. We will use all tactics to put fish on the boat. This can include trolling 8-12 rods at a time, jigging and popping, and chunking baits to catch fish. We will have all gear provided for the passengers, but if you are an experienced angler with your own lucky jigging/popping rod you're welcome to bring it. The location will vary based on where the bite has been hot, sometimes we run 10 miles sometimes we have to run 40 miles.

    This is a trip to the canyons. This is typically an 18-24 hour trip in total. We will run to the canyons that have been producing the most fish and give us the best chance of catching them. We will typically leave the dock around 2-3 AM to give us the best chance to hook up at first light. This is where we often get Big Eyes, Larger YFT, and Longfin. If the bite slows down, we will head to the lobster pots and target some Mahi to fill the fish boxes. Trip includes trolling, jigging/popping, and chunking
