Longer Days Sportfishing Charters runs angling trips out of Hatteras and offers to show you what the local fishery is all about.

Capt. Tom is here to get you on some fish, and to make sure you have fun doing it. You’ll be using techniques like bottom fishing, trolling, drift fishing, jigging, kite fishing, popping, and spinning, depending on what you’re going after. As part of their 11-hour trips, you can target species like Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, King Mackerel, Sailfish, Marlin, and Amberjack, depending on the current season and weather conditions.

You’ll be fishing from a 46’ Custom Built Buddy Davis boat with enough room for up to 6 anglers at any single time. It also includes a toilet, AC, ice box, and fighting chair. When it comes to rods, reels, and terminal tackle, everything you need is included in the price. Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day. You can keep anything you catch, as long as it’s legal to do so.

There will be a first mate on board to help you with anything you need. Tips for good service are always appreciated. Children are welcome aboard so you’re good to get the young ones started early.
