D&R Charters operates on a comfortable and spacious 33’ World Cat center console that can fit up to 6 guests. It runs on twin 300 HP Mercury engines with a cruising speed of up to 42 knots, which will get you to your fishing destination faster. The boat is equipped with varied navigation electronics and comes with a toilet, ice box, outriggers, downriggers, and a livewell.

The crew offers trips of your liking anywhere from 2.5 to 12 hours. The species you can encounter on your trip include Spanish and King Mackerel, Black Seabass, various Snapper species, Amberjack, Tarpon, Grey Triggerfish, and many more. To reel them in, you can use light and heavy tackle, bottom fishing, deep sea fishing, trolling, and spinning.

All the fishing tackle and lures are supplied by the crew. You’re also covered for licenses and catch cleaning, so bring nothing but the food and drinks of your choice.

Action galore and tired arms!

3 Hour Trip – Inlet/Jetty (AM) on October 22, 2025 • 3 adults

Amazing day on the water with Captain David. Hooked some red fish 5 minutes after dropping anchor. We also caught black sea bass, shark and sting ray. David did a great job helping us land some good size fish. He suggested we keep some and take it to a local restaurant to have cooked. He filleted the fish and we took it to the Salty Pelican. They were happy to cook it and needless to say it was amazing.

5 Hour Trip – Offshore (AM) on June 19, 2025 • 1 adult • 1 child

We did a 5 Hr offshore trip with Cpt. David with my 11 year old son and it did not disappoint. David had us on fish immediately when we got to the fishing grounds and it was steady action the entire time. The highlight for my son was the 8' Bullshark that we managed to get all the way up to the boat! David is a fantastic Captain with years of experience growing up here and he is passionate about making your trip the best experience. Five stars all around! Thanks, David, and we'll see you soon for another trip!

Awesome time.. one for the books

3 Hour Trip – Inlet/Jetty (PM) on April 24, 2025 • 2 adults • 1 child

Our captain Dave was fantastic. A true experienced fisherman that was extremely personal and professional. I had my 9 year old grandson and daughter with me. He was very attentiative to each of our needs. The fishing was incredible as we a caught a slew of various fish - red, and black drum, string rays, shark, Jack c, bass. One was over 36 inches long. He definitely knew where to go and how to properly cast and lure in the big ones. On the return we even stopped to observe wild horses. The 33 cat boat is well maintained , comfortable and ideal for fishing. He has gps trolling motor which works wonders to troll at a specific location. Would definitely recommend Captain Dave.

4 Hour Trip – Jetty/Inlet (AM) on April 14, 2025 • 4 adults

My wife and two daughters, age 23 and 25 were visiting Amelia Island for a few days and I wanted to take them fishing. I been fishing many times but my wife and daughters are rookies. I was concerned about a charter that had facilities for them (Porta Potty) which is mostly how I based by selection. That being said, Captain Dave was great, very easy going, pleasant and within minutes we were on fish. He was very patient, taught the girls how to hook the fish and even let them most the fish. The only bad thing is, they had such a good time, now I have to take fishing with me and the Boys! (Only kidding). I recommend bring your catch to the Salty Pelican where they will cook for you! If you are fishing with your wife and kids, The 4-hour trip was perfect.

Full Day – Offshore on October 14, 2025 • 3 adults

We went out for a 3 person whole day trip. They took us offshore for part of the trip. We caught fish in less than 1 minute. Then we came back to catch bull reds. It was an awesome day. I hope life lines up to do it again.
