Fishing on Capt. Rick's custom 23' SeaCraft is a dream. 'Hook your own fish!' Rick will show you how and he'll fillet your catch. Take it to a fine, local restaurant or home.

Thrilling surface strikes by Sailfish, Mahi-Mahi, Tunas, Wahoo, Kingfish, Cero Mackerel, Marlin, etc. while live baiting or trolling, is something the captain lives for. The wrecks test your mettle on heavier tackle for big snapper, grouper, and jacks. Reef fishing for Snappers and Groupers is fun rod bending for all. Big sharks on the flats thrill the kids. Swordfish offshore is their big game fishery, and Rick has caught them up to 350 lb.

A fan favorite is Live Bait Tarpon fishing! Huge Tarpon explode on your live bait less than fifty feet away. The Silver King is considered a jaw-dropping, fish of a lifetime!

Rick will take you fishing with expertise, enthusiasm, and a laugh! Experienced anglers can rely on his skills and knowledge. The Captain personally had two IGFA world records on a fly rod (Bigeye Trevally and Guapote). Novice anglers will appreciate his patience and assistance. Women and children are encouraged to book a trip for a memorable time on the water.

Captain Rick Rules!
2 Hour Trip – Patch Reef (12PM) on September 21, 20242 adults

Captain Rick couldn’t have been a better guide for us today in Islemorada. He’s lived here for years and is extremely knowledgeable of where, when and what to fish in the area. We had a great time and will call him again next time we’re here. Also, a really good guy.

Rick started as a mate in Marlin tourneys in 1978, before his 16th birthday, and grew up fishing the flats and offshore waters of Key Biscayne and Miami. He finally landed in Islamorada in 1995 after charter fishing Costa Rica (as featured in Salt Water Sportsman, March 1991), St. Thomas, Mexico, Bahamas, and South Florida. Rick found the truth in Islamorada's reputation as 'The Sport Fishing Capital of the World.' Many IGFA world records have been caught here. There is an incredible variety of fish and fishing: Tarpon, offshore, wrecks, reef, flats, and Everglades!
