There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation. There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Kids are welcome. If you don't have a child-size vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. You can't go wrong when you bring snacks, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
