Voted in ADN's Best of Alaska Fishing Charter 3 years running, Alaska Outdoors Addiction can show you Alaska in ways other guides cannot! Our 4-hour King Salmon charter on Knik River is both convenient and beautiful!
The price of your trip includes all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle. Fishing licenses and king stamps aren't included, so make sure to get them prior to the trip.
One of our seasoned captains will take you on a great family-friendly adventure, absolutely perfect for seasoned veterans and for those who have never fished before and are looking for a low-stress, relaxing trip on the water. The Knik River is located 30 minutes from Anchorage and 20 minutes from Wasilla. This fishery is a 100% hatchery-enhanced fishery specifically stocked by the State of Alaska to provide sport fishing opportunities for King Salmon.
The main fishing technique you'll be using is either back trolling or trolling while on anchor. While doing this, your guide will have two to three rods rigged with cured Salmon eggs and one to two with a plug or a spinner. Depending on which lure or bait is catching the most fish, your professional guide will change gear out to give you the highest opportunity to harvest a King Salmon. At this time, you'll let out your line and place it in the rod holder, waiting for the tell-tale epic takedown of an Alaska King Salmon. We will also drift salmon eggs under a bobber, back bounce, or cast spinners when conditions allow. We will do WHATEVER it takes to get you hooked up on an Alaskan King Salmon!
Regulations allow each guest to keep one King Salmon over 20 inches per day.

Guide was great and definitely knew the water. Didn’t end up catching any kings, but the experience was well worth it. would recommend and will definitely be making another trip back. I would recommend to any and all singles or families. Very easy booking process and a wonderful overall experience.

Thanks for the kind words Jared! Was a pleasure hosting you chasing some early season kings! Hopefully our next adventure we can get er done!
There was an issue with Fishing Booker not putting the trip on the captains calendar but I messaged them and they made sure to make it right and took my dad out on the trip the following day. It was awesome and he absolutely loved seeing the views and getting to talk with them.

Thanks so much for the kind words and understanding! Was an absolute pleasure having your dad on the water, hindsight we should have taken his fish for a boat ride! Hope the rest of your Alaska vacation was spectacular, thanks again!

Weather was very cold and although we caught nothing but a missed bite, it was a fun little session. The boat captain was respectful and fun to talk with during our little trip. Definetly will book again if I visit Alaska again. Do make do to wear warm clothes and jacket if going the early morning!

Born, raised, and year-round residents of Anchorage, Alaska, we grew up on the water fishing with our dad. As soon as I started running the boat at age 4, I knew I wanted to share the beauty of the Alaskan wilderness with folks from around the world.
