What We Catch
We target a wide variety of fish, including:
• Wahoo
• Mahi Mahi
• Tuna
• Marlin
• Swordfish
• Snapper
• Grouper
• Barracuda
• Shark, and more!
Our general setup involves trolling with rods and local hand-lines, but we also offer live baiting, jigging, bottom fishing, and deep drops (1,000 ft+). If you have a specific species in mind, let us know when you book!
The Boat
Step aboard our 33’ Bertram—a classic fishing vessel built in 1980, powered by rebuilt 3208 Cat engines (yes, they purr!). The boat is equipped with top-of-the-line gear, including custom rods, Shimano TLD, and Okuma Makaira reels, to give you the best fishing experience possible.

We’re docked at Bucuti Yacht Club, located behind the airport at the end of Bucutiweg. For your convenience, on-site parking is available.

4 Hour Trip – Deep Sea Fishing (AM)
Great day and first catch for my son
What can I say, capt. Tom and first mate Chris were awesome, we got to the dock and the boat was already setup and ready to go. There is a small boat ride out of the canal while Chris is setting up everything, he then explains the different types of lures and setup we have going. Keep in mind april is windy so the water had waves and fishing wasn't easy but we still ended up with 2 barracudas (and lost a few that ate bait), one was caught by my son on his first deep sea fishing trip and he was really happy about it. From start to finish, everyone was doing their best, changing up lures and making sure we had bait in the water all the time. Every questions were also answered without hesitation. I would recommend this charter to anyone and will be coming back during a fall trip to go after big game as I truly have confidence in Tom and Chris being able to catch some bucket list fish!

What a great time we had!
My wife and I flew into Aruba and already had a fishing trip booked. After extensive research and planning we settled on the first one we looked at! After looking at High Times Charters with Capt. Tom van der Woude and 1st mate Chris were nothing less than exceptional! Great attitude and put us on the fish. Can't ask for a better day! Will definitely be booking again for a longer trip! We caught Mahi and tuna the whole 4 hours! Missed a shot at.a sailfish. Highly recommend!!!!!! Awesome boat and exceptional custom gear! Fun for all!!!

4 Hour Trip – Deep Sea Fishing (AM)
Great Crew, Great Charter
We did a 4-hour charter with High Times on December 22. Captain Tom and first-mate Chris were great. We caught a couple bonito early on and a sailfish in the last hour. Catching the sailfish was incredible. But, the best part of the trip was the experience that Chris gave to my 9-year old son -who is absolutely obsessed with fishing. Chris was very patient with my son, answered all of my son’s questions, showed him all the bait and tackle, and was even teaching him how to set up the rigs. Chris made it a truly unforgettable first deep-sea trip for my son. Thank you to Tom and Chris for a great trip.

8 Hour Trip – Deep Sea Fishing
Sword fishing for a morning
Fish weren't biting great but Captain Tom and crew worked very hard to help make sure we caught some . Caught a very nice wahoo, one of the biggest we have ever caught and got of some mahi and a barracuda. Equipment and line was tom notch.

High times fishing trip
We had a great time on the high times Bertram 33. We went on the 4 hr afternoon trip. Unfortunately we didn’t catch anything but thats fishing! The captain and crew were super nice and constantly kept up with the bait and rods! All in all it was a great experience and would recommend going on this trip with this crew

We had a great time on the high times Bertram 33. We went on the 4 hr afternoon trip. Unfortunately we didn’t catch anything but thats fishing!
