Brock Johnson’s Guide Service runs angling trips from Portland, OR all the way to the mouth of the Columbia River, (Astoria, OR) and offers to show you what fishing the Pacific Northwest is all about.

Capt. Brock aims to tailor every trip to your specific needs, so let him know what you’re after! Depending on the trip and species, you’ll be using techniques like bottom fishing and trolling. You’re looking at 6 to 9-hour trips, where you’ll go after the likes of Salmon, Sturgeon, or Crab, depending on the weather and time of year.

You’ll be fishing from a 25’ Rogue fishing boat with enough room for up to 6 anglers at any single time. It also includes a toilet for your comfort and an ice box to keep your catch fresh. You’ll be able to keep any legal species caught during the trip, and Brock will even clean and fillet it after the day is done.

All the necessary fishing gear is included in the price of your trip. Please keep in mind you’ll need to get a fishing license and angling tag before the start of the trip, and any snacks (no bananas!) or drinks you want. Alternatively, Capt. Brock can arrange lunch at an extra cost.

Want to bring the rest of the family along for the ride? Kids are welcome aboard, so you’re free to make it a family adventure.

Please beware that the weather on the coast is very unpredictable, so wear layers. Wear warm clothes and also bring some sort of rain gear – sometimes the runs to and from the fishing grounds can get a little wet.

Other than that, there’s nothing left to do but book your trip now and hit the water with Brock Johnson’s Guide Service!
