Running angling trips out of Cortez, Reel Fun Charter provides a memorable, quality experience whether you are new to fishing or a seasoned fisherman.

Come aboard with Captain Terry, who knows the best spots to get you on some fish. Expect to use techniques like popping and spinning based on the species you’re targeting. Speaking of which, you have the option of 4 to 6-hour trips, where you’ll be fishing for the likes of Snapper, Redfish, Snook, Spotted Seatrout, Tripletail, Jack Crevalle, depending on the specific season and the day’s weather.

You’ll be fishing from a 23’ Sea Pro boat with enough room for up to 4 anglers at any time. All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price, and your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day. You can keep anything you catch as long as it’s legal to do so. Live bait is included when available, so check with the captain before the trip.

Want to bring the rest of the family along for the ride? Captain Terry is patient with kids and helps them with casting the line. He loves to see the smiles when a fish bites, so bring the kids fishing to create fun memories.

The best time ever!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (I wish I could give 10 stars!) Our experience with Captain Terry was nothing short of exceptional!!! From start to finish, he was professional, personable, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He made sure we were comfortable the entire time, took the time to teach us the techniques we didn’t know anything about, and put us right on the fish. He really knew exactly where to go and worked hard to make sure we had an unforgettable day and let me tell you, it definitely paid off! The boat was clean and well-maintained, and the atmosphere was relaxed, fun, and welcoming. You can truly tell he cares about his clients having a meaningful and memorable experience, not just giving a successful trip. My partner and I made amazing memories out on the water and can’t wait to book again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fishing charter! Thanks again, Captain Terry! :)

Knowledgeable Captain and a Great Experience

We had a great time out on the water. Terri was extremely knowledgeable and put us in the right spots all day. He even taught us a new style of fishing we weren’t used to, which made the trip even more fun and rewarding. You can tell he really knows what he’s doing and genuinely wants everyone to have a great experience. We learned a lot, caught fish, and made some awesome memories. Highly recommend booking with him. We’d definitely go again.

Amazing Captain!!

Captain Terry knew exactly where to to take me and my wife for our first trip ever on salt water! He even took some time towards the end of our trip to drive us around so my wife could see some dolphins! We came into shore with a great experience and feel like ive made a friend on the trip in Captain Terry! His patience with teaching us technique was great, I will definitely be booking again with him when we bring our kids back in the fall!

Great Memories Made With Capt Terry

I booked with Capt Terry because of his reputation with families and children and he did not disappoint! The group was myself, my daughter, son in law, grandaughter and grandson. It was the childrens very first fishing trip. Capt Terry knew exactly what to do to make the trip child friendly…a short boat ride, a spot out of the cold winter wind and we caught fish! Flounder, red fish, lady fish, and a couple of trout, one a trophy of 23” by my grandson. Terry and 1st mate Jill were polite, patient and encouraging. I highly recommend them for not only family trips any fishing in the Anna Maria / Cortez area.

Great Afternoon of Fishing

2 Hour Kids Fish & Fun - 8:00 AM on February 12, 2026 • 3 adults • 3 children

We had a great few hours fishing around Anna Maria Island working the flats and mangroves. Captain Terry was professional, kind, and especially wonderful with our kids. He took his time teaching, encouraging, and making sure everyone felt involved. We truly appreciated how hard he worked to get us on fish and how patient he was throughout the trip. It was a relaxed, enjoyable experience and plan to book again next year.
