Running angling trips out of Cortez, Reel Fun Charter provides a memorable, quality experience whether you are new to fishing or a seasoned fisherman.
Come aboard with Captain Terry, who knows the best spots to get you on some fish. Expect to use techniques like popping and spinning based on the species you're targeting. Speaking of which, you have the option of 4 to 6-hour trips, where you'll be fishing for the likes of Snapper, Redfish, Snook, Spotted Seatrout, Tripletail, Jack Crevalle, depending on the specific season and the day's weather.
You'll be fishing from a 23' Sea Pro boat with enough room for up to 4 anglers at any time. All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price, and your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day. You can keep anything you catch as long as it's legal to do so. Live bait is included when available, so check with the captain before the trip.

Our experience with Captain Terry was nothing short of exceptional!!! From start to finish, he was professional, personable, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He made sure we were comfortable the entire time, took the time to teach us the techniques we didn’t know anything about, and put us right on the fish. He really knew exactly where to go and worked hard to make sure we had an unforgettable day and let me tell you, it definitely paid off! The boat was clean and well-maintained, and the atmosphere was relaxed, fun, and welcoming. You can truly tell he cares about his clients having a meaningful and memorable experience,
not just giving a successful trip.
My partner and I made amazing memories out on the water and can’t wait to book again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fishing charter! Thanks again, Captain Terry! :)

Great Memories Made With Capt Terry

I booked with Capt Terry because of his reputation with families and children and he did not disappoint!
The group was myself, my daughter, son in law, grandaughter and grandson. It was the childrens very first fishing trip.
Capt Terry knew exactly what to do to make the trip child friendly…a short boat ride, a spot out of the cold winter wind and we caught fish! Flounder, red fish, lady fish, and a couple of trout, one a trophy of 23” by my grandson.
Terry and 1st mate Jill were polite, patient and encouraging. I highly recommend them for not only family trips any fishing in the Anna Maria / Cortez area.

Capt. Terry is one of the most knowledgeable Captains I’ve ever spoken to. You can tell Capt. Terry is very passionate about fishing from the minute you meet him. We caught a ton of fish and was able to mark off bucket list fish from our list! The key to success with Terry is being safe and coachable for Terry is big on safety as he should be. This was the best saltwater fishing experience I’ve ever been part of and will 1000% be booking with him again. Thanks for the success Terry and the Schneider’s are happy to call you our friend!!

We booked a Christmas fishing trip for our two adult sons with Captain Terry, and it couldn’t have gone better. Terry was fantastic with communication from start to finish and even adjusted the plan based on the tides so they’d have the best chance to catch fish — and wow, did it pay off! They caught a ton of fish and had an absolutely amazing time. Their only complaint was that they wished they could’ve stayed out all day because they were having so much fun. We will definitely be booking with Captain Terry again!

What a wonderful experience we had on our fishing trip with Captain Terry! He is extremely kind, knowledgeable and patient with anglers of all ages and levels of experience. I would not hesitate to bring kids on a trip with Captain Terry! We caught fish, had fun and left with a greater knowledge of the region. Captain Terry even found dolphins playing for us to watch. Five stars for sure! We will book another trip next time we return when it is warmer so we can be sure to see the manatees.
