If you plan on fishing in Holmes Beach, look no further than AMI Book’em And Hook’em Fishing. Captain Colby will be your guide, which means you’ll tap into years of local experience.

These waters are known for Gag Grouper, Flounder, Mangrove Snapper, Tarpon, Speckled Trout, Snook, Hogfish, Redfish, Bull Shark, Red Grouper, Sheepshead, Blacktip Shark, and more – with any luck, you’ll have tight lines in no time. You’ll target your catch by light tackle fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are also a good idea!

You’ll step aboard a 22’ Bulls Bay center console that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, and tackle are included. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

It’s never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

great family day on the water!!!

4 Hour Trip – Inshore (AM) on December 20, 2025 • 5 adults

we had sn awesome time out today. Captain Colby was at dock geared up and ready when we arrived. He had an overflowing live well full of bait for us. We’ve do e other outings where we fished so hard that we ran out and had to switch to artificial bait but not today. We fished hard, had tons of fish in the boat and more that we lost and the live well was still hopping with bait and there were moments where Colby was flipping off a fish and baiting a hook as fast as he could. He worked hard for his clients today!(my family). I appreciated that he did all the work today and I was able to enjoy some quality fishing. Back home aboard our 19’ Whaler I’m the guy working hard yo keep the kid’s line baited and in the water while steering the boat. Today Captain Colby did that extremely professionally and everyone caught more than expected. highlights from the day include: double hook ups…a Florida trifecta, Snook-Trout-Redfish, multi species as kids requested… “I’ve never seen a salt water catfish”, “first snook”, “what’s a yellow jack”, “first redfish”, “will we catch mango snapper”, “will we catch anythig we can eat”??? I cant say that Captain Colby could produce the same awesome day for you and your family but I’d bet he will do everything he can to try! And thats as good as you can expect in todays world. Pictures say it all. We kept enough to eat tonight and released more than we expected to catch.

Great morning!

4 Hour Trip – Inshore (AM) on March 2, 2026 • 4 adults

Colby was early and we loaded up and headed out! He put us on red fish within the first hour - the snook and trout were just missing the legal mark but were just as fun to catch and release. Colby works hard and keeps live bait on your line the whole time. When we got back to the dock he cut up our red fish and put them on ice. We will book with him again when we are back at AMI in July. Don’t think, just book!

4 Hour Trip – Inshore (AM) on January 13, 2026 • 2 adults

Colby met us on a cold weather front and put us on fish. He pulled every trick and all of the knowledgeable experience he had out of the hat to make what could have been a tough trip with other charters, not our case. One my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed. We had multiple "quantity" fish and then moved into "quality" towards the end. Great guide and captain we will be back during season to smack the trophy's with Colby. No doubt Colby knows the waters, called out fish and techniques, and produced.

Captain Colby was so nice and brought us to some great spots. We had 5 in our group, ages 7-67, and everyone caught something, including 3 keepers that he cleaned up for us to take home. Great opportunity to get out on the water, see some fun birds, and experience catching some cool fish! Highly recommend booking with Captain Colby!

Tons of Fish!

4 Hour Trip – Inshore (AM) on November 24, 2025 • 3 adults • 2 children

We had a group of three adults and three kids and had a blast! Captin Colby knew were to go to keep the lines busy. Over all we had at least 60 fish in the boat on a 4 hour trip and Captin Colby keep the entire trip filled between bites talking about the area and teaching everyone about the different species we were catching. We caught Snook, Trout, Red Fish, Flounder, Lady Fish, and even landed a few Sharks at our last spot. Plenty of keepers to feed the group! Highly recommend.
