Cat 5 Fishing Charters is owned and operated by Captain Bradley Laningham, a Lake Charles, Louisiana native. Laissez les Bons Temps Rouler! Where the good times roll, and friends and families of all ages come together to enjoy the moments that turn into memories lasting a lifetime.
Captain Bradley's mission is to ensure you make great memories and enjoy your time on the water. If you need help casting your rod, he will gladly cast it for you and hand you the fishing rod back. He will do whatever he can to accommodate your needs to get the fish in the boat! You'll be fishing inshore and nearshore. The saltwater species in the area include Black Drum, Flounder, Redfish (Red Drum), Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, and occasionally Tripletail.
Embark on the fishing trip of a lifetime on a 2026 Pathfinder 2500 hybrid with a 350 Yamaha motor and enough room for 4 anglers but can accommodate group trips with additional boats. On your trip, you'll experience fishing with light tackle, and live shrimp can be provided for an additional cost.
You are welcome to bring your own drinks, snacks, sunglasses, hats, and sunscreen. The trips include complimentary bottled water, rods, reels, tackle, and lures. Fish cleaning is no additional fee at the end of the trip.

We just got back from a trip with Cat 5 Charter, and it was hands-down one of the best experiences we've ever had! From the moment we left the dock, Captain Bradley and his crew made us feel welcome, comfortable, and excited for the day ahead. Not only were they incredibly knowledgeable and professional, but they also made the trip so much fun. They worked hard to keep us on fish, answered every question we had, and made sure everyone in our group had an amazing time. You can tell they genuinely love what they do and care about giving their customers a memorable experience. The fishing was fantastic, the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable deapite the weather, and the entire trip exceeded our expectations. I can't recommend Cat 5 Charter enough. Thank you, Captain Bradley and crew, for an unforgettable day. We'll definitely be booking with you again!

i very much enjoyed my trip with Captain Bradley and his first mate. under very difficult fishing conditions he tried very hard to make the best of it. i brought my granddaughter on her first salt water fishing trip, Captain Bradley made her feel very comfortable and made sure she had a great time. i have never had a better experience fishing with charter . i will use Captain Bradley again and highly recommend others to do so as well. he is very patient with inexperienced fisherman and women. I found Captain Bradley on a fishing angler site, not knowing anything about him. He exceeded our expectations with his knowledge and fishing experience. This was so much fun! My goal on this trip was to land a bull redfish, and captain Bradley did just that. With conditions being far less than ideal and fish moving drom where he previously scouted we made constant moves till we found them. Landing the big one being 30 inches i was also able to get dinner for a couple days with plenty of flounder, pocket reds and a couple big sheephead. I had an awesome time and would highly recommend this trip i was not disappinted in the slightest!
