Top Of The Life Fishing A&A
Placencia has a fish with your name on it, so let Top Of The Life Fishing A&A help you catch it!
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Mahi Mahi, Great Barracuda, Wahoo, Caribbean Queen Snapper, Yellowfin Tuna, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, and plenty more. You can expect to do some spinning, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks – luckily, the captain will have some on board!
Your boat for the day is a 35' Donzy sportfishing vessel with room for 10 passengers. It has outriggers, a fighting chair, all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Before coming aboard, it may be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's always wise to bring a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks for you on board.

great time out on the water today. Crew is great. Caught fish. Will be back again.
We had an absolute blast fishing with Roland and Anderson! We can't wait to come back and do it again! Do not hesitate to book with them, you won't regret it! We even grilled up our catch that night for dinner, doesn't get any better than that! Thank you guys for a wonderful and memorable fishing trip!
my son and son in law and i had a wonderful day with this crew. They were knowledgeable, kind and great to work with. I highly recommend them!

If you like deep sea fishing and/or inner reef, you must fish with Roland and son on the "Comin in Hot". Roland is a very knowledgeable captain and puts you on the fish. Nancy, his wife, makes the booking and meeting points easy without any issues. We would definitely fish with them again, very soon!

We are thrilled with your 5 star review, much appreciated. It was a pleasure to have you guys onboard. Thank you for trusting us with your stay here in Placencia it was so much fun and laughter with the guys. We wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2025 tight lines!

Thank you for a great time, looking forward to taking you for them big games! 👏
Hi, I am Captain Roland Alford I grew up in the Sarstoon area; which is the river that divides Belize and Guatemala, however, I am a born Belizean. From a very young age, I was introduced to fishing by my father who taught me to be optimistic, hardworking, and humble at the same time. This was 30 years ago. My father was a fisherman and a hunter and that's what I inherited from him. While growing up I got convinced that sports fishing was what I wanted to do for a living. I have worked with the Belize Fisheries Department and marine NGO'S which gave me the opportunity to learn the Belize Fishing Laws. However, the pace was too slow for me — I wanted to feel on top of the life. Thus, I was inspired by something more fun. I decided to venture into deep sea sports fishing and go for the big game fish such as the Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi — Also, bottom fishing for species such as Groupers, Queen Snappers, Champagne Snappers, Amber Jacks, and more. I have about 15 years in the tourism industry. I worked with several companies over the recent years, however, a year ago I decided to pursue my own business — something that I can manage and grow. Along with my girlfriend, Nancy Aguilar, who has helped me with this dream to come true — I also introduce her to fishing. Nancy is very efficient in areas in which I need help. Our main objective is to make you, our guests, have the best fishing experience in our jewel country of Belize.
