Pelagic Hunter Belize is all about fishing the stunning waters of Placencia. The captain will be your guide, which means you'll tap into their knowledge and experience.
These waters are known for Sailfish, Shortbill Spearfish, Blue Marlin, Blackfin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Black Grouper, Skipjack, Yellowtail Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Yellowedge Grouper, Yellowfin Grouper, Silk Snapper, and more – with any luck, you'll hook into a few!
For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
Capt. Pelagic will bring you aboard a 26' Sea Fox center console with room for 2 passengers. It has all the essentials.
Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It's recommended to bring sunblock (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
