I had a great 4-hour trip with Captain Luis and Captain Fernando. Not only was I lucky enough to catch an 80-pound tarpon within the first 10 minutes of our trip, but I hooked up with 2 other fish soon afterward. Cpt. Luis does his research before the trip and is honest about your fishing expectations. All-in-all I had a great time fishing and exchanging laughs with Captain Luis and Fernando. I would book with them again the next time I’m in Puerto Rico.

We booked two trips with Captain Luis and could not have asked for a better time. Both were 4 hour morning trips. This was our first time specifically fishing for Tarpon and both days successful. First day caught a good size ladyfish, stingray, and a 65 lb Tarpon. We hooked another large fish but it got off the hook before we could get it in the boat. The second morning went to Luis’s “honey-hole” and caught 101 lb Tarpon right off the bat. Luis is great at his job. He is an experienced angler who works hard to get you on good fish and makes sure your time is enjoyable. He’s a good teacher, kind, funny, and an excellent trash talker. Could not have asked for more in a fishing guide. Thanks Luis for everything. If we are ever in Puerto Rico again, we will definitely be booking with you again.

This fishing excursion was our best experience yet!  We have chartered other fishing boats in Puerto Rico and none of them compare to this one.  Captain Luis has years of experience tarpon fishing and as a result knows where to find the fish.  He worked very hard to ensure we were able to land several large tarpon.  Our son, who is an avid fisherman, caught a 50 pound and 40 pound tarpon.  I caught a 30 pound and 40 pound tarpon.  We lost several others, due to our own errors,  and inexperience tarpon fishing.  One of the fish I lost was estimated at approximately 80 pounds.  Towards the end of the excursion, Captain Luis gave our son a few successful plastic baits to fish locally and took the time to show him how to tie several different fishing knots and explained to him how to properly tie on leaders.  Overall, we cannot say enough positive comments about Captain Luis and our overall fishing experience.  We had a great time and definitely look forward fishing with Captain Luis with SuFishNSea in the near future.

Capt Luis and Capt Fernando were phenomenal from the moment we inquired. We had a total of 12 people ranging in all ages from 10 yrs old to 46 and Capt Luis was able to accommodate us on 2 different boats that we were able to fish in the same area near each other. We hooked into and reeled in more fish than I ever could’ve imagined. They were both very informative of the area and what we needed to do to be able to catch fish. As a group we could not have asked for anything more and highly recommended this trip to anyone that’s looking for an action packed vacation fishing trip.

Capt Luis was awesome! He reached out personally the day before our trip and sent directions from our cruise ship to his boat. The taxis outside our pier tried to rip us off on fare ($90 one way for a 15min ride). We Ubered there with Capt Luis’s help ($21 one way).He took us to a great spot, and hubby was able to catch a couple. Capt Luis was friendly and had great patience with us! Highly recommend!
