Last Cast Guiding- Salmon & Halibut
Come and enjoy Salmon and Halibut fishing at its best with Last Cast Guiding, a full service charter company that offers top quality fishing tackle and adventures and departs from a variety of locations along B.C's wild west coast.
Their charter vessel the 'Last Cast' is a Grady White Express that measures 26.5 ft. With a 9 ft 8 in beam, the boat offers plenty of room for up to five guests and features a comfortable cuddy cabin and a flush toilet for the ladies. Grady Whites are heavy offshore fishing machines and Last Cast is no exception. Powered by twin 225 HP Suzuki 4 stroke engines, the boat offers the ultimate in reliability and power.
Last Cast Guiding offer day trips as well as multi day fishing adventures based from fishing lodges in Bamfield B.C. They fish different locations depending on the season, starting in late April fishing from Nanaimo and Nanoose Bay on the East Coast of Vancouver Island, before moving to Port Alberni and Bamfield in June to take advantage of the West Coast fishing experience. You can choose between calmly fishing the inlets for maximum comfort or going offshore to target Salmon and Halibut on a trip that will delight the most hard core of anglers. Whatever you decide, the knowledgeable guides will use their arsenal of experience to put you on the fish. In order to make sure your trip is as good as possible, only the best quality gear is used on board, with Islander precision reels and Rapala graphite rods being the preferred tackle.
Last Cast Guiding is Transport Canada certified and all their guides are professional operators with many years experience fishing. They can also work with larger corporate groups to organize a fishing experience for up to 30 guests.

We had a great day! Captain Pat was the best choice. He knows everyone in the inlet, is highly experienced, knows where to fish and what to use and makes you feel safe, which is a good thing when you are new on the ocean. Worth every penny! Can't wait until next time.

Thanks so much for the very kind comments. I really enjoyed spending some quality time together. We work hard to help create a quality experience and your note is very much appreciated
Despite looking like bad weather , when we got out there it cleared up and it was a great day . Lots of fish caught some too small but 4 decent sized Chinooks . Took our limit . Captain Pat is a very knowledgeable captain and knows how to fish .

Thanks for the kind review. I sure enjoyed fishing with your group and it's inspiring to hear everyone enjoyed our trip. The weather and fish cooperated to give us an epic day. Thank you, and stay well.
We had a great day! 4 adults and 2 kids for a day of fishing with Captain Pat. Within seconds of dropping our poles, we got 2 Cohos! By the end of the day we all had our limit on the cohos with a few lucky Spring/Kings sprinkled in. My 15 yo had never fished before and he caught the largest fish of the day! It was awesome. And we saw a humpback whale which made it extra special. Thanks Pat!

Pat is a knowledgeable, considerate, friendly guy. My buddy and I throughly enjoyed our trip from the trip down the inlet to the evening at the McKay Lodge. Our day of fishing was challenging and Pat did his best to get us into some fish. We came back with fish in the cooler and smiles on our faces.....thank you Pat for an enjoyable trip....Jim & Alex

Thank you Jim & Alex for your kind words. While the fish don't always cooperate, we will do everything we can to catch them and make your trip enjoyable. I really enjoyed my time of the water with you and look forward to getting back out there in pursuit of that bucket list fish.
Pat is a fantastic Captain and fisherman. Our experience could not have been better. I highly recommend this salmon fishing trip.

Thank you so much for your very kind review. I truly enjoyed every minute of the trip. Great family memories that I'm so privileged to be part of. Pat
