Make the most of your time in Crystal River and go fishing with Saltwater Cowboy. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Mark can tell you all about them.
Scallop season is around the corner, and Captain Mark is ready to take you on a fun-filled Scalloping adventure! On these trips, you'll be in 4-6 feet of crystal clear water snorkeling for Scallops. Equipment will be available, but please feel free to bring your own if you want.
Saltwater Cowboy welcomes kids aboard, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Don't forget to bring snacks, drinks, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be a cooler with ice on the boat, but have your own cooler ready to take your Scallops. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Your boat will be a 24' Proline with space for 6 passengers. Capt. Mark has all the necessary equipment available for you. Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some Scalloping!

As Louisiana natives, we know our way around the water, but this was our first Florida scalloping trip—and it exceeded every expectation! Captain Mark and Taylor were fantastic. They were friendly, patient, and made the whole experience fun from start to finish. They knew exactly where to take us and had us on the scallops. Our family had an unforgettable time. Now our 9 year old son is absolutely obsessed with scalloping and is already asking when we can come back! Our first Crystal River scalloping experience. Mark showed us a great time…he was willing to move around and try different locations in the hopes of getting more scallops, which was awesome! We will definitely call Mark for our next Crystal River trip!
The scallop numbers were super thick and am sure we weren’t super good at finding them since was our first time doing this. That said is super fun to do and learn. Captain Mark is a super nice guy and took us to three different locations within the 3+ hours we were allocated. This is something that if you think you want to do then you should do it.
Booking Mark for a scalloping trip this 4th of July was certainly not a disappointment. Mark was nothing shy of a great captain and fun person to he around! First spot we jumped in at was loaded and by noon we had a good haul. Highly recommend the Salt Water Cowboy and we will certainly be booking him for our future trips.
Mark is an absolute 100% stud. My guy thinks like like a scallop!!! 10/10 highly recommend!!! Me and my girlfriend caught our limit of scallops in 3hrs!!!
