Blue Harbor Charters
Excited to catch some fish in St. Joseph? Make it happen, with Blue Harbor Charters! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Joshua is prepared to put you on fish.
Top targets include Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Coho Salmon, Chinook Salmon, and more, depending on when you go. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
You’ll be dropping lines from a 30’ Trojan Yacht with space for 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures.
You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
You might need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
You could keep reading this, but wouldn’t you rather be fishing with Blue Harbor Charters?
