Excited to catch some fish in St. Joseph? Make it happen, with Blue Harbor Charters! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Joshua is prepared to put you on fish.
Top targets include Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Coho Salmon, Chinook Salmon, and more, depending on when you go. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! There are child-sized life vests available, or you can bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
You'll be dropping lines from a 30' Trojan Yacht with space for 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license for the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Dock/boat was very easy to find. Captain greeted us, we loaded up, had a quick safety briefing and were underway. Boat was clean and well maintained. Took about 45 minutes to get to and from where we put lines in the water. Fishing gear was all in perfect working order and no delays getting lines in the water. Had a fish or 2 on the finder most of the trip. They just weren’t biting. Had excellent conversation with the captain and enjoyed it very much. Had 3x 14 year old boys on the trip with me and they all had fun even though we didnt land any fish. Would use same outfit again for sure.
Thanks again for booking with me. you guys were wonderful. I would love to have you out earlier in the season when the fish are more cooperative.
This was our first fishing charter experience and we had a great time! My 13 year old son loves fishing and this trip has peaked his interest even more. Capt. Josh is personable and patient. The boat is well-maintained with quality gear. I highly recommend this charter!

Josh was absolutely amazing! We took our family of 6 and had the BEST time. It was our 1st time and we would 100% recommend Josh. We all hooked a fish and ended up with 7 by the end of the adventure. 5 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
