The Struggle Is Reel Charters
If you're in the market for a day to remember, look no further than The Struggle Is Reel Charters. Your guide for the day is Captain Chris, giving you access to years of professional experience.
Cod, Haddock, Blue Shark, Yellowfin Tuna, Striped Bass, Bluefin Tuna, Thresher Shark, Lobster, Mako Shark, Porbeagle Shark, and more inhabit these waters if conditions are right.
You'll target your catch by light tackle fishing, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
Your adventure begins aboard a 2502 Parker offshore sport fishing vessel with room for 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Capt. Chris will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
Before coming aboard, it may be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's recommended to bring bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Decided to book a charter for my daughters 16th birthday. Dylan was our captain for our trip. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took us to catch baitfish which was an experience within itself. We caught around 30+ mackerel! We boated around for a good bit on a perfect day trying to find where the stripers were. We had a hard time at first but Dylan made sure to entertain us by finding a huge sunfish and monster sized jelly fish. Right when we thought that the mackerel where going to be our only catch Dylan caught wind of a different site where the stripers where. We headed in to that spot and that’s when it all happened. Thousands of pogey where popping out of the water where the striped bass were coming at them from below. Dylan’s enthusiasm went from a 5 to 100! He baited the hooks so fast and casted and had us cast too right into the schools of pogey. Instantly the stripers hit! Within 30-45 minutes we landed 6 and lost a few in some good fights. My daughter caught a 43” monster! I felt like the best dad on earth making her day. Dylan is clearly passionate about his job and we were lucky to have had him as our guide. For anybody who wants to make a memory of a lifetime book a charter with him! Happy fishing!

How can I sum up a great fishing trip that involved so many positives? Well, I'll just say that Captain Chris Cobbett welcomed a family of 3 generations onto his boat like we were good friends from the past. He was very informative and worked diligently to provide us a great fishing trip. A lot of laughs were had! My family had a great time, as they have informed me of this on the road trip home. We all caught big beautiful stripped bass! A big thank you to Captain Chris!

i cant begin to tell you how thankful i am to have been part of that memory .

Cap'm Chris was great, got us to good fishing spots where small mackerel were a plenty. we pulled 4 nice lobster from his traps and will be enjoying these later tonight. Ive just finished eating several of the mackerel and they were surprisingly tasty! Enjoyed our 2 hour excursion and will be sailing w Chris again! Highly recommend! Christian C. and family

that was super fun . thanks for coming
Captain CHRIS was determined to put us on fish. Hottest day of the year almost 100° and had a bunch of action to start. Got a little slower as the day progressed but the captain did all he could. We did not get skunked and had a great time.
