My husband and I booked this trip for our 30th anniversary. My husband is an avid bass fisherman, but we had only been deep sea fishing one other time and we didnt catch a thing. My husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer a few months ago so it was really important to us to make this trip extra special. Captain Eric was amazing!! We caught several 30+ inch fish within the first hour!! We had booked a six hour trip, but we caught so many fish that we decided to stop after three hours because we were so tired. My husband still has not stopped talking about it, saying it was one of the best experiences of his life. I highly recommend Captain Eric and GQ Charters!!!

I booked a four hour fishing trip with GQ Charters for my husband’s birthday gift. We also have an 11 and 13 year old who got the chance to experience this before there return to school. Our experience was amazing and one that we get to reflect upon for many years. Captain Eric is personable, knowledgeable and truly cares about your well being and safety. My 11 year old boy was nervous at first with the ocean waves and Captain Eric relieved his fears and also got him to catch a beautiful 31 inch Striper! I would recommend this to any family, group of friends or individual. Thank you!!!

Our family of five - 3 teenagers- had never been striper fishing before. We received a welcome letter the night before which had valuable information, particularly about what to wear and bring. Capt Eric was a great teacher and related well to everyone. After a short stint jigging for mackerel, we spent 3 hours hunting for stripers (no success). Eric worked hard throughout that time to put us on some fish and kept the mood upbeat. On the trip back into harbor , our luck turned and we ran into a school of stripers. Eric managed the rods efficiently and everyone caught at least one striper. The boat was very comfortable for the five of us with places to stretch out when you weren't fishing. It even has a small bathroom to use during the trip. This was a five star experience all around. Our family will definitely be going out on a charter with Capt Eric again.

What a great trip! Captain Eric was terrific and knew where to find the fish. It was absolutely thrilling for my son and his friend to catch their first stripers - my husband too. One was sized right so we could take it home and Captain Eric even cleaned and filleted it for is. We had an incident with a seagull getting caught on the line and Captain Eric handled it with the utmost care and skill, successfully freeing the bird. Lastyl, the boat was very comfortable and plenty of soda and water for all. We all highly recommend this trip.

We had a great time catching Mackeral, pollack, and even cod on our two hour kids trip. My daughter (4) was scared on the boat and he handled her with great care. We had a beautiful time, he answered all of our questions and even stopped to make sure we could get a nice picture of us in front of a beautiful lighthouse. Five star experience! Highly recommend!

I have taken a number of chartered fishing trips over the years at various vacation destinations and I have to say this was one of the best. Captain Eric was very friendly, professional, and so helpful with me, my wife and our two friends. We couldn’t bring fish home for dinner because they were too big! I left my coffee cup on board when it was over and he coordinated returning to me the next day. Book him. You won’t regret it.

Captain Eric was amazing! We had 6 people on board: mom, dad, grandpa and 3 kids. Eric was patient and attentive the entire time and great with the kids who are ages 9, 9, and 5! Quotes from the kids: “Best fishing trip ever! I caught a 38” striped bass!” “It was awesome and I caught dinner!” Highly recommend for a family friendly and somehow relaxing time out on the water!

Our charter with Captain Eric was the highlight of our Maine trip. Despite a slow start, Captain Eric kept us on the prowl and even stayed out an extra 45 minutes to make sure everyone on the boat was able to catch a Striped Bass. Captain Eric himself was friendly, knowledgable, and skilled, making sure we got the most out of our time on the water. We highly recommend working with GQ Charters!

Would recommend this to everyone!! Captian Eric was fun, accomodating, and knowledgable. He made sure we had a great time while also putting us on several schools. We caught several striper and had lots of laughs!

We went out on the 4 hour morning striper fishing charter and had a great time. Capt Eric got us on some stripers right away after catching some fresh Mackerel and were able to keep 1 striper within the slot limit (caught 2 total during the trip). Capt Eric is very knowledgeable about the Saco-area fishery and provided a great overall experience.
