Hoping to catch some fish in Santa Rosa Beach? 30A Tight Line Fishing Charters is your ticket! Captain Ryan will be your guide, allowing you to benefit from years of knowledge and experience.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Flounder, Jack Crevalle, Redfish, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, and plenty more. On these trips, you can expect to bottom fish using light tackle.
Capt. Ryan believes in teaching kids to fish while they're young, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
You'll step aboard a 23' Sportsman center console that can carry up to 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Ryan will provide rods and reels for you. Live bait will be use when available.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. You can't go wrong when you bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Enjoyed fishing w/ Capt Ryan

Two 10yr boys and parents enjoyed a morning out w/ Capt Ryan. We trolled in the bay for Spanish Mackerel and caught 4, then moved to the mouths of the rivers and caught a few more fish- redfish and sheepshead. We had perfect weather and the boys had a great time. It was a memorable experience.

Even a slow day is great!

Captain Ryan was fantastic. He let us know a few days ahead of time that the fishing might be slow due to recent weather conditions. We didn’t mind, we just wanted to get on the water and I wanted to see my seven-year-old and five-year-old grandsons have a fun time. We didn’t catch a lot of fish, but my daughter-in-law caught a 30 pound black drum, my son caught some nice red fish, one was large enough that we took it home after Captain Ryan cleaned it and gave us two very nice filets, and the filet mignon of a red fish…the neck meat! I have to say that it was one of the best fish dinners I’ve had in many many years, knowing that we caught it and had the freshest fish we could. This is only my second time with 30A Tight Line Fishing, but it will definitely not be the last!

Fun day fishing with family

Captain Ryan was fantastic putting us on the fish from the first spot to the last. He was very personable and professional. There were 4 of us and just him but it seemed like he had six hands as he kept up with baiting, casting and giving tips to those of us who needed help. At one point he helped 2 newbies pull in slot reds simultaneously. I thought for sure one of them would get away but Captain Ryan kept his cool netted one threw it in the boat and spun around to scoop up the next one. On spots where we weren't catching he was quick to move to the next one and it paid off bigtime. The last spot of the trip we pulled in 4 redfish between 22-26"! Couldn't have asked for a better day out with my family. Thanks Captain Ryan. You certainly do know these waters.

We had a blast today with Captain Hagen. He knew all the right spots to catch fish and did not waste any time if fish were not biting. We caught plenty of fish and limited out on the reds. I highly recommend this fishing guide and will be using them again when I return to 30A!

Great Captain - Tough Day

Captain Ryan was great and his equipment and boat were very clean and in great working order. Very knowledgeable of the area and has several spots to try and catch fish. He was very transparent and up front with everything, and provides tips and information when asked. Unfortunately for us, conditions were not prime for fishing, but we didn’t skunk. All 3 of us caught a few fish, but only had one keeper trout. Next time we’re in town, we’ll likely try and book the same charter. Overall, great experience, regardless of the conditions! Thank you, Captain Ryan!
