There's a fish with your name on it in Kenai and Scout Lake Adventures will help you catch it! Captain Robert will be your guide, giving you access to years of angling experience.

Depending on conditions, you might hook into Sockeye Salmon, Coho Salmon, Chinook Salmon, Pink Salmon, Arctic Char, Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Dolly Varden, Grayling, and anything else that bites.

Depending on the species you're after, you may find yourself spinning, trolling, drifting, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Robert also offers fly fishing.

Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!

Capt. Robert runs a 21' Willie Boats aluminum fishing vessel that holds up to 8 passengers. It has outriggers and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.

You might need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

You can't go wrong when you bring sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Scout lake adventures will make it easy for you to go fishing in Kenai. So, how about booking that trip?

AWARD WINNING BEST CAPTAIN OF THE YEAR AWARD
6 Hour Trip/ Retirement special - 1:00 PM on September 26, 20251 adult

If this is your first time fishing in Alaska Bob is the Captain for you. If you are a seasoned fisherman or woman again, Bob is the Captain for you. Rain or shine you will catch a fish. If you do not catch a fish within your time frame he will stay later on the water with you at no charge so you experience what its like to catch a Salmon. He takes great pride in watching people enjoy doing what he loves the most. What you see is what you get and that is a genuine human being that we need more of in this world. If you require more attention than others he will help you and make sure your needs are met. A caring soul who has the best campfire stories you will ever hear. I fished with him two days in a row. He went above the clouds and beyond any River in Alaska to make sure not only that I realed in a big salmon , but made sure i had everything I needed. Also, it started raining and he gave me the gear I needed. I took home Salmon, a bigger smile than i came with, and lots of great memories in the great outdoors. Give Scout Lake Bob a call. I have already booked for next year. Thanks again BOB for everything you do! Tammy Holman

No better way to end my season with meeting a nice person like yourself. being married to a nurse for so many years I know your job description sometimes takes more from you then it gives us back. Glad to have given you some time in Alaska to unwind. Looking forward to next year showing you what August is all about when it comes to catching fish on the Kenai River. Be safe tell your next adventure Scout Lake Adventures.

What a great day!
6 Hour Trip/ Retirement special on June 11, 20261 adult1 child

Capt. Bob and deckhand Corbin were amazing! My 12 year old son and I had a blast. This time of year the river fishing isn’t the greatest yet (no surprise) but we adapted and headed to the lake instead, and it was well worth it! Will absolutely recommend fishing with Captain Bob to everyone! You can tell he tries his very best to make it a great day.

Outstanding Guide
6 Hour Trip/ Retirement special on July 26, 20254 adults

Our guide Bob was outstanding. He was very personable and patient. I was really impressed that he took the time to show us how to catch the salmon. We loved the stories about the bananas, he kept on the boat. As an additional plus, we had a very scenic view of the river with mountains in the background. Living the Alaska dream as a family with a very personable guide!!!!!we left the trip with 18 fish and a wonderful memory that myself and my kids will cherish forever!!!!

Response from Captain

thanks for the kind review. It makes me appreciate why I still do this job. Glad I could make some memories with you and your family next time. We’ll have to get the wife out so she can be a part of it as well. Be safe. Tell your next adventure Scout Lake Adventures.😊

Captain Bob works hard for you!
6 Hour Trip/ Retirement special on August 19, 20254 adults

It was a slow day of fishing but Captain Bob wouldn’t give up and give it his 100%. He stayed out as along as we wanted to and continued to work hard. We caught fish and he was a pleasure to fish with. He stayed out for 10 hours when we only paid for a 6 hour day and even offered to take us fishing again the next morning free of charge.

Dolly Varden
Coho Salmon
