Blue Knuckles Sportfishing Charters 

I booked a trip for a couple of buddies and myself. The weather had other plans, so Captain Chris came up with a new plan and it did not disappoint. Captain Chris made adjustments, as did we and we were able hunt down some bluefin! Captain Chris using his experience got our lines out a tad before the hunting grounds and from that point on we were on the fish! We caught limits for bluefin! Such an amazing trip! Thank you Captain Chris! We will definitely be coming back out to fish with you again!

Chris was an absolute professional. He was extremely knowledgeable on the various environmental ecosystems and where to find the fish. There was not a question he didn’t answer. Catching fish was the reason we were out there but he made the trip worth it. The operation on the boat was extremely safe and his set up was very organized. Rarely did we have a pole out of the water for more than a minute! Our trip met our bag limit of Rock Fish and Lingcod within hours. This is never guaranteed and if we would have not caught a thing the trip would have still been worth it. Do yourself a favor and book with Blue Knuckle Fishing. You will not regret it. I organized an all girls fishing trip and we had a great time. There were three of us as one of our Anglerettes had a emergency. Captain Chris was great. He was very prepared and helpful. We started out by catching sand dabs for bait for ling cod. We moved to the fishing grounds and had nonstop action. We caught our limits of rockfish plus a few ling cods, and petrale sole. I will definitely book with Blue Knuckles Sportfishing the next time I fish out of Moss Landing.

We’ve been on many group fishing tours, but this was by far the most successful one! Our family of five caught full limit of 50 rockfish! Captain Chris is incredibly professional and knows exactly where and at what depth the fish are biting. The rods and lines were meticulously organized—absolutely no tangles or snags the entire trip. He also shared great tips on how to catch different species throughout the seasons. We will definitely be back! Highly recommended!!!

Amazing private charter experience in Monterrey Bay. Caught upwards of 70 fish including various species of rockfish, lingcod, mackeral, and whitefish. Also got to see a wide variety of wildlife including humpback whales, dolphins, sea lions, and harbor seals. Captain Chris was amazing both during the trip as well as being incredibly responsive and helpful with info leading up to the trip. Would highly recommend this trip.

Fantastic fishing trip from start to finish! Chris was friendly, knowledgeable, and communicated great beforehand, and even cleaned our fish afterward—we caught our limit and had an amazing time. Highly recommend this charter!

We had such a great experience with Chris and his boat out in the ocean. Chris knows all the great spots to catch fish and we ended up catching a nonstop amount of rockfish, petrale sole, and sand dabs. It was a really great experience on a beautiful day, definitely make sure to apply sun screen and reapply liberally! Looking forward to another fishing trip with Chris and his boat!

Captain Chris and his deck hand Forest were both very knowledgeable, helpful, just down to earth guys. Both made it a fun filled day, absolutely killed it with catching a lot of fish. Chris also heard there were orcas in the bay and found them on our way in. This made it an experience of a life time. Been fishing out of Monterey and moss landing on charter boats and this one was by far the best.

We caught 42 fish, and had an amazing time. Chris was awesome, had everything set up and ready to go, and was super fun to chat with. I would recommend to anyone, can’t imagine a fishing trip going better!

Chris is very knowledgeable, knows the spots to get your limit. Has up to date navigation and depth finder. Very much recommended.
