Make the most of your time in Moss Landing and go fishing with Last Meal Sportfishing.
Salmon, Halibut, Rockfish, Lingcod, Bluefin Tuna, Crab, and more inhabit these waters if you come at the right time of year. On the day of your trip, you're likely to troll and bottom fish.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 25' Parker offshore sport fishing vessel with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. . You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you.
Before coming aboard, you may need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. It's always wise to bring sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Last Meal delivered exactly the personalized charter fishing trip I hoped for to celebrate my “little” brother’s 50th birthday—and then went above and beyond. We booked the Crabs + Dabs trip, and while unseasonably large swells made locating our crab pots tricky, the crew still put us on plenty of rock and flat fish and provided amazing on-deck service.
What really impressed us was the extra effort from Captain Stephon and deckhand Ryan. After the charter ended, they went back out to recover some of the pots and later dropped off the crabs we managed to catch right at our rental home in Carmel. That kind of dedication turned a great day into an unforgettable experience.
There’s more to the story, but all you need to know is this: we’ll definitely be booking with Last Meal again—hopefully very soon!

I have been wanting to take the family on a fishing trip for a while and have contacted a few different boats to make sure that it would be a good fit. My hope was to get the kiddos hooked on fishing so that they could be my excuse to go fishing whenever I want to :).
Captain Stephon and his deckhand definitely went above and beyond what I have ever experienced. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, they made sure that we were extremely comfortable and well informed. Putting us on the fish for non stop action certainly helped, but feeling like you were being cared for like family really made this trip stand out from all of my others. My family is already trying to figure out when we can go again, goal accomplished!
My recommendation would be to book with Last Meal as soon as you can, you will not be disappointed.

They were great listen to ours and our guests concerns when it came motion sickness and were willing to adjust to different waters. They made it all about us! We will planing our next trip asap! Unforgettable Day on the Water in Monterey!
5 Hour Trip – Rockfish on April 19, 2025 • 2 adults
Had an absolute blast fishing in Monterey, CA! We hauled in a great variety—Lingcod, Rock Fish, Sanddabs, and some beautiful Petrale Sole. Huge shoutout to the guide Stephon—he was amazing, super knowledgeable, and made the whole experience smooth and fun. The weather was perfect, and even on a "slow day," we were pulling fish up every few minutes, and we hit our limit. I was already checking dates for my next trip before we even docked. Can’t wait to get back out there!

We came home wirh a couple dozen cravs and pounds of filleted fish (despite the cold and very wet weather). Steph and Ryan were great. Full of smiles and making it fun for all.
