While the fish weren’t exactly cooperating that day, Captain Wayne worked hard to get us on fish and made the trip enjoyable from start to finish. We even managed to catch a baby shark and an old aluminum can, which gave us plenty of laughs and made for some memorable stories. Captain Wayne was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and most importantly, he helped make my son’s very first saltwater fishing experience a fun and memorable one. We appreciated his patience, expertise, and positive attitude despite the slow bite. We’d definitely recommend Captain Wayne to anyone looking for a great day on the water!

4 Hour Trip (AM) on August 7, 2024 • 3 adultsWe were scheduled for Wednesday, but a tropical storm was on the forecast. Captain Wayne suggested we move the trip up to Monday, and the conditions were perfect. We had flat, calm seas and a nice tide fishing inshore. We caught a bunch of flounder, some jacks, a bluefish and hooked into a few redfish (one in the cooler for ceviche—see pic). He even stayed out an extra hour to keep us on fish. Wayne has a beautiful, roomy boat that’s nicely tricked out for easy fishing, a friendly approach and decades of intimate knowledge of the local waters and fish. I’ve fished with guides all over, and would happily go with Flatfish Charters again any time.

Captain Wayne was great. He was early and ready to go the minute we hit the dock. This was my wife and my sons first time on a charter boat fishing. Captain Wayne made sure they were comfortable and prepared for what to do and where to cast. He was very nice and very kind. He had great conversations with us as if he had known us for a long time. We caught plenty of fish and he even made sure we got pictures so that we could always have these memories. If you choose Captain Wayne you will be in great hands and you will walk away happy you went fishing with him.
