There's no shortage of fishing charters on the Texas coast. What makes Reel Adventures different is simple — around here, you're not treated like just another trip on the calendar.
Captain Corey Bickford built Reel Adventures around giving people the kind of day on the water they actually remember. Whether it's your kid's first redfish, a group of buddies chasing trout, or a family just wanting a laid-back day together, the goal stays the same: have a great time and put some fish in the boat.
Trips launch out of Rockport and Port Aransas and target redfish, speckled trout, black drum, flounder, sheepshead, and seasonal species depending on conditions and time of year. Every trip is private, so it's just your group and your captain — no crowded boats and no strangers.
You'll fish aboard a fully rigged shallow-water boat equipped with quality gear and electronics to help stay on the bite. Rods, reels, bait, tackle, ice, water, and fish cleaning are all included. Just bring your fishing license, snacks, and whatever you'd like to drink.
Never fished before? No problem. Captain Corey works with beginners, families, and kids all the time. If you're an experienced angler, he'll gladly put together a more technical trip too.
At the end of the day, Reel Adventures isn't about pretending every trip is some TV-show tournament. It's about good people, good memories, and a captain that genuinely wants you to have a great day on the water.
If that sounds like your kind of trip, come fishing
NOTE:
Live shrimp, and or cut bait will be provided (availability, and season permitting)
Croaker, piggy perch and pin perch can be provided for an additional charge of cost. Questions? Please feel free to reach out to me!

For my son‘s 15th birthday, we hired Corey to help us catch some keeper reds for a fish fry the following day. The experience did not disappoint, as Captain Cory showed my son a side of Aransas Bay he had never seen. His boat allowed us to get into places that others simply were not going. Although we caught other fish, we only kept three reds—measuring 23, 25, and 28 inches. Out of all the years we’ve spent fishing together, my son said this adventure was the best. I will absolutely charter Reel Adventures with Captain Corey Bickford again.
Captain Cory's attention to my family's enjoyment of the trip and safety was the bet part of the trip for me. He kept us on the fish, and where he could made sure my Son was dragging as many as possible. We alwys felt safe when we were moving from spot to spot. Lastly Cory making sure no one got motion sickness or dehydrated shows he really cares for his customers. Thank you for a great experience! We will be booking again next time we come down.
weather wasnt the greatest but Captian Cory did put us on some trout. We caught several that were just under size and managed to get 7 or 8 keepers. Captian so wanted us to catch fish he kept on us on the water well longer then what we paid him for. I will be fishing with him again. I highly recommend you book your trip now for some Fall Fishing WB Marble Falls Tx
This was a great trip during a shaky weather week. Captain Corey kept in contact with us before the trip to let us know he was watching the weather. There were storms but he was able to get us on the water after all. We went for redfish and he put us on some keepers using both live and cut bait. After the reds he found some trout we had fun with on live popping corks. Everyone on the boat caught fish. It was a fun time and we’ll definitely book again.

I hope yall enjoyed eating all that fish! yall where awesome to fish with!
Corey took my son and I to several different fishing spots on our trip today. We started off bay fishing and quickly caught our share or speckled trout and plenty of sand trout. That was a lot of fun, since at home we spend a lot of time unsuccessfully shore fishing for freshwater bass. So my son had the time of his life casting and reeling in good sized fish at a pretty quick pace. Corey then took us redfish hunting which he warned us would be less active, but we were determined to bring one in. We were finding a bunch of catfish, which aren’t fish you want to keep. Finally, just before we called it a day, one of our reels hit a 22” redfish. Corey was super personable and was happy to share his fishing knowledge with me and my son throughout the trip, which made our time fly by. In the end, we ended up with over 20 keepers, mostly sand trout, that Corey cleaned and bagged for us. The trip was everything we’d hoped for.

These local waters are known for Redfish, speckeled trout, blackdrum, sheeps head, red snapper and King Mackerel, and he will show you how to catch them all (seasons permitting) With many years of experience, he has a trick or two up his sleeve, and the only way to learn is to join him out on the water.
