Ready to go fishing in Galveston? Katie's Red Tide is here to make it happen! Captain Ricky and the incredible fishing machine Red Tide make these fishing excursions a trip to remember for a long time!

Captain Ricky specializes in family-oriented trips and loves to take children fishing. He has vast historical knowledge of the Galveston waters, making your adventure fun and educational.

These waters are known for Lane Snapper, Almaco Jack, Redfish, Gag Grouper, Red Snapper, Cobia, Amberjack, Jack Crevalle, Kingfish, Great Barracuda, and more. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

You'll be dropping lines from a 42' Invincible Center console with space for 6 passengers. It has triple 350 HP Suzuki engines. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter. Live bait is included.

Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Both Captain and Mates work hard for tips, and it's customary to offer them a 18-20% tip. Anyone 17 years and older will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

It's never a bad idea to bring snacks, drinks, a hat, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.

Now's the time to experience fishing in Galveston aboard the Red Tide!

You can select from a variety of packages, depending on what you want to target and how far offshore you want to go. The fishing license is not included in the price of the trip and neither is the fuel. To give you an idea of how much the fuel may cost, have a look here:

20-mile trip from 100 to 125 gallons
30-mile trip from 125 to 150 gallons
50 plus miles from 180 to 200 gallons

The pricing can vary, but it now stands at $3.00 per gallon.

That's Not Fishing! That's Catching!
Half Day Trip – Bay/Jetty (PM) on July 5, 20253 adults2 children

We had a great time fishing with Circle H. We're a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 eager to learn kids). Captain Scott put us on the fish right out of the gate and kept us on throughout the trip. First mate Wes had his hands full unhooking fish and keeping every hook baited as well. Total keepers = 11 trout,1 sheepshead and a doormat flounder. Not to mention the numerous undersized ones we threw back and the multiple that stole our bait! Overall it was definitely one of the best trips I've ever been on! Side note: Captain Scott- very knowledgeable of the area and fish in it! First mate Wes - Very polite, respectful & patient with kids! Great team, would definitely recommend!

Great Last Minute Trip.
Half Day Trip – Bay/Jetty (AM) on August 8, 20255 adults

I decided to take a last-minute trip with the family before school started. The captain seen that I had a 14-year-old and a 16-year-old boy on the boat and asked me if I wanted to go shark fishing. I said why not let’s see what these boys are made of.. needless to say we landed around 15 sharks. What made the trip even funner was when we first started we stopped off and fished for bait for 30 minutes and caught about 75 sand trout.. This was a blast for them as well. I would definitely recommend Circle H.

Half Day Trip – Bay/Jetty (AM) on March 14, 20266 adults

Booked this trip for my fiancé and his groomsmen for their bachelor trip. Needless to say, they had nothing but great things to say. Captain Rick was phenomenal, and they WILL be going back. Definitely recommend this charter.

GO-TO GUIDE!
Half Day Trip – Bay/Jetty (AM) on September 20, 20256 adults

We had an unforgettable day on the water. Ricky was friendly, patient, and clearly knew the area inside and out—he worked hard to put us on fish and it paid off. We were the only group on the water catching anything that day, and it made the experience even more special. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a successful and fun fishing trip!
